LOL
Yes, coaches made players drop an easy INT and fumble at goal line, right?
Alright. Here comes the king of halftime adjustments, Kirk Ferentz everyone!
I agree. Coaching (for once) has been fine. Players making HUGE mistakes. They need to come out smarter and we can maybe still make this a game.
2 HANDS ON THE BALL INSIDE THE 5. NOT DIFFICULT.
Probably reads like sour grapes but Iowa isn't impressive either.
Best coaching staff and most talent we've had at ISU in years!! Just ask people, they'll tell ya!Like every bad team, we create ways to lose.
Players and coaches alike, this whole thing looks bad this year.
This. I hate Iowa more than anyone but their teams always are outstanding at the basics. That is why their redzone D is always so good, that's why they always convert on short yardage situations, that's why they win football games in the trenches. We can still turn it around but it's just annoying that if we were mistake free until this point, we'd be up at half. They aren't. The difference - discipline, execution, and not making stupid mistakes.
If we showed half of the above as Iowa has, the scoreboard would be much closer.
Nope, I respectfully disagree. This is on the players. Fumbles, not stopping a team on 4th and eight, dropping interceptions. Nothing in that scenario is a coaching error. We need our guys to start believing they can win, and do the things necessary to win.
