Nope, I respectfully disagree. This is on the players. Fumbles, not stopping a team on 4th and eight, dropping interceptions. Nothing in that scenario is a coaching error. We need our guys to start believing they can win, and do the things necessary to win.

ISU could totally shred Iowa's defense thru the air with a proper gameplan but even more important - receivers willing to execute. It's totally there and begging to be taken.

I agree. Coaching (for once) has been fine. Players making HUGE mistakes. They need to come out smarter and we can maybe still make this a game.

Sure, the gameday strategy is ok, but they recruited and developed the players that are out there wetting the bed.

Seriously...with all the receivers we have, why didn't we move someone to corner?

No way Jarvis West can be worse than the crap we put out there, and West makes plays.

Probably reads like sour grapes but Iowa isn't impressive either.

But their bad field goal kicking forces KF to be aggressive and that's enough when we can't hang onto the ball and the refs fix a key call. Result, down 14-3 against a very avg iowa team

They aren't. The difference - discipline, execution, and not making stupid mistakes.

If we showed half of the above as Iowa has, the scoreboard would be much closer.
This. I hate Iowa more than anyone but their teams always are outstanding at the basics. That is why their redzone D is always so good, that's why they always convert on short yardage situations, that's why they win football games in the trenches. We can still turn it around but it's just annoying that if we were mistake free until this point, we'd be up at half.

Now for the customary "the defense is tired" so they won't stop Iowa during the second half because they can't get themselves off the field on 3rd and long/4th and long.

I agree. The coaches actually came in with a pretty good game plan. Just failure to execute.

Holy Crap.
Subtract the stupid A Personal foul on the punt
The interception that our own guy broke up
and the fumble that lossed a TD.
A PI call that was no where near close to right

We should be winning.
But we are ISU and are down 14-3.

What's sad is that this is the best QB play we've seen in years...

Richardson again making good throws and good decisions.
