ISU is totally battle tested. Baylor has played nobody...just nobody. If ISU can punch them in the mouth, and remember Baylor is a different team on the road, we have a chance. I like the fact that ISU comes in to the game having really been in the fire for three games. Baylor hasn't played anyone with a pulse since 2013. Will be interesting to see how Baylor responds to actually playing somebody...and on the road no doubt.

Totally agree with this. They have not been as dominant this year running the ball as last year and we know how freshman can be rattled taking a step up in competition. The only bad thing is that Goodley is back for the ISU game. He won't be rattled. Additionally, between Goodley and Cannon, who does Tribune cover? Sam E. is going to have to step up his game for this one!

Art has still never won in Ames and our run game has been stagnant so far. It'll be a close game either way.

719 yards in 3 games with a low one-game total of 189? I think you joking.

SMU's coach quit already during this season, FCS-Northwestern State (not an NDSU by any stretch), and Buffalo on the road. Think (& hope) the next game may be a big step up for Baylor this season.

Remember they have been resting most of their starters for the bulk of the 2nd half of their games thus far much like they did with us last year in WACKO. Chafin the backup RB is big time and has been out if I am not mistaken and they can go 6 deep at wide receiver if they get their 4 top guys back for our game. Davion Hall and K.D. Cannon who they now call TD Cannon are two freshmen that could start most places right now. We have to be able to pressure the Petty and find some guys that can run 10.3 or so to keep up with their burners. Goodley and Cannon can flat out run away from most DB's in the game.....they scare me along with Coleman and Norwood! Remember their 2nd and 3rd string QBs could be starters at most places as well now thus this team is super deep! Seth Russell and Chris Johnson are big and fast. Just hope they don't like cold weather!

There is NO way we can beat Baylor, their second string can put up massive points against us. People are still hungover from the Iowa game, thinking there is a chance and stuff...lol. Reality will set in after Baylor goes up 21 in the first quarter. I will still watch ... hoping one day in my life time we can get our Art Briles also......

Here nor there
We have little chance if our run game continues to be non-existent. I also think we should go for it on 4th down a lot, and maybe some timely on-side kicks (assuming we score). Field position is relatively meaningless to Baylor- getting more chances to keep the ball from them and limiting possessions is worth it imo.

For the record, I said there was NO way we could beat oklahoma state in 2011. Even went to a bday party instead of going to that game. One of the bigger regrets of my life.

UCF beat Baylor. Let that sink in. How can you take anything away from Baylor they have played 2 of the worst teams in FBS.

Cyhart, did you forget about that plane crash prior to our game against Okie Lite that saw a bunch of their athletic folks killed. Do you think that might have played a role in the game that evening? Glad we won but man I wonder about some of you and dismissing such a tragic event at their school and acting like it had no bearing on the game!

Baylor won the Big 12 conference last year. Let that sink in. You really think they were focused on a school that no one ever heard of in a bowl game that was the bridesmaid for Baylor if it weren't for the egg they laid in Stoolwater? Something tells me that the Fiesta bowl game is motivation for a run this year that might not be good for us but time will tell. I just hope we can make it respectable and that their top 4 wide receivers get hurt again in practice during the next two weeks!

Very tragic event but I don't buy that. Didn't then. Don't now.

It did not. Their players and staff made it clear that the players may not even have known by gametime.
The crew of NFL defenders we rolled out there had quite a bit to do with it, and Jarvis West's electrifying return right when it looked like Okie State was about to put the hammer down and finish us off.

Keep telling yourself that!

UCF was pretty good last season with their only loss coming against South Carolina. Computers still had Baylor as a better team after that game. Upsets happen. Baylor was still putting up large numbers on offense. The defense just didn't show up.

You could argue their offense is a little worse and their defense is a little better this season.
