Baylor fan here and I come in peace. Baylorfans.com, you can find me there as a regular. What's the weather going to be like on Saturday and what's it going to be like for a BFan to hang out and find tailgates? Thanks in advance!

Welcome! Weather is going to be great! 80 and sunny! Tailgating at Iowa State is fantastic. Public lots (all around the stadium) open up six hours before kick!

If you come into the environment to have fun, you will be hard pressed to find a better tailgating experience. Just don't be a ******, and you'll love Ames.

I think most of us respect the fact that fans from a school 800 miles away will come party with us. You should enjoy yourself unless you can't handle a friendly razzing or two.

The weather is going to be perfect. Which sucks for us, because then you will just have an easier day. Now, if it could be 10 degrees and have 6 inches of snow, then we might have a chance

Agreed. Easy guys. Unless you have been down to Floyd Casey several times (including last year's travesty) - realize that Baylor fans really tend to at least be the friendliest in 8 of the 10 Big XII venues I have been to. Hell, the Baylor president, (Judge) Ken Starr, drove up in his golf cart to our ISU tailgating cluster of about 40 cars there. Not only did he welcome us (we were the first car parked at the end) but stuck around, took pics, and walked over to about 10 cars greeting people at each for a good 20 mins. He told me he was "surprised ISU visitors started tailgating so early" . . . lot tenders wouldn't allow us in until 4 hrs before the game ;-) Anyone seen our prez Leath do that??

Anyway, be nice. Even after all the drubbings the Bears have given us, folks still made a point of coming up to welcome us to Waco. Sure, naturally more fairweather fans crawling out of the woodwork these days and more travelers than they've ever had. But we could only be so fortunate with a similar program they also endured for a couple decades under the burnt orange and maroon shadows down here.

Hope you have a fun experience, tailgating is great and the grass is up to 24 inches now so we might have a ballgame. ;)

Ken Starr is temperate so yeah this reaction is not surprising. And this Kenn Starr owes me money, no kidding. The ponszy Kenn Starr in prison doesn't.

You are welcome...but, I think you are mistaken as you are playing against North Dakota State this Saturday. No problem, just stay on I-35 then take a left at Minneapolis. You are welcome, again.

Come on out to G7 and pound down some beers. We welcome any and all as long as you can hold your alcohol and don't get cocky we'd be more than happy to have party. Case of beer and a bottle liquor and you'll be set for the 6+ hours of tailgating.

If it doesn't rain, you will have lots of options for public parking. Note that most of the parking you see in photos of our stadium is reserved for donor season ticket holders with parking passes.

Of the public lots, G2/G3 tends to be more of a student party lot, but it a great location. G4/G5 is more family-oriented, as is B1/B2. The best tailgates, meaning the ones that are the most fun for visiting fans, tend to be farther away from the stadium. The tailgates close to the stadium tend to be tighter and invitation-only (with some exceptions). If you are parking elsewhere, just come to the north end of the stadium and walk north into the paved lots and you will find plenty of warm welcome.
