I'm sure it was required by the pledges but when I think of hazing I think of things a lot worse than going for a group run.

I think they are covering up alot by just saying " we went for a group run " never mind them probably drinking till 2 am being woken up at 4:30 dehyrdated as hell then running to who knows where doing who knows what. Theres alot about this story that is being kept hush hush in my opinion.

I'll tell you one thing. Greek culture in the south is a lot different than everywhere else in the country. How Greeks are represented on TV and the big screen isn't really representative of the fraternities/sororities at ISU. However, what you see on TV is EXACTLY how it is in the south.

To be "fair" he sounds like a moron to comment one way or the other until the investigation is complete and he is able to say how a kid on a run somehow ended up on the wrong side of 4 foot high concrete wall and fell without anyone noticing.

At least that was my experience in North Carolina. I'm sure Greek communities are similar in South Carolina as well.

I was Greek at ISU as an undergrad and I taught classes and worked with Greeks at NC State as a grad student. It's not so much a generalization as it is an observation.
