Sam may be better than Rohach, I'm not going to argue that. But until we get a QB that can make plays with his ARM and not his LEGS we are never going to amount to anything. I guarantee whoever is backing up Garmon, OSU's 3rd string QB would still make Sam look silly. Everyone talks about recruiting DL and whatnot but until we get a QB that's worth a **** it doesn't matter. It's frustrating week after week seeing the same ol **** on offense. One other thing, stop throwing screens with a QB who has a noodle for an arm. Rant over.

Do you not understand the core functions of what an offensive line is supposed to do in pass blocking? Opening passing lanes and smacking d-linemen in the gut the second their hands go up? Have you witnessed the ISU offensive line do that? I don't just ballwatch - so I have watched the hands go up and the ISU offensive line doing nothing about it.
Yep, particularly without West, Bundrage, and Harris. Daley gets so easily impeded it's sad. Even with those guys, we are slower. Of course, it does not help when by design we are stationary or coming back to the LOS. You have to hit slow guys moving away from the LOS to have any success at yards after catch.
Doesn't really matter though. There are so many things inept about CPR ball, with the exception of Wally getting guys to be in the right spot.
Maybe stop recruiting guys that look like power forwards to play o line. Bill Bliel ruined this team.
Sorry. I'm not going there. There are serious structural problems with this program right now. Refs didn't help, but there's much larger problems.
We tried that last year and more than half didn't show up, quit or got injured.
