I'm planning on going. My oldest daughter already has a list of which autographs are her top priority (Niang is at the very top of that list). Cannot wait for this event!!!!

I think the correct answer here is treat it like a football game, tailgate and pack Hilton to the gills.

I'm wondering what time people will line up to get in with the doors opening at 5:30.

I'd planned on taking my 5 year old, we were gonna get to Ames about 4, drive by to see what it looks like, then adjust dinner plans accordingly.

The boy also wants autographs, I assume they'll have the new team posters at the event, anyone know or should I get something else to be signed?

My turnout estimate is 8,000 people.

I would go if I was still in college or close to Ames, but I am not driving 2 hours for this.

I hope it is a fun event for those that can make it!

Does anyone know if the basketball posters will be coming out at this event?
Maybe, maybe not… If I recall right the poster schedule last year came out a little closer to the start of the season than what Sat. would be relative to the start of this season… I could be completely wrong though because having the team posters ready for the event Saturday only makes sense.

Myself and my family, 3 people total, will be driving up from Kansas to see this. Making a mini-weekend vacation out of it.

I am curious who some of the furthest travelers will be this weekend.

I am disappointed, I was holding out hope that Fred would come in and be a late entry into the 3-point competition, maybe show up some of our young guys. But at the Big 12 media days, that was specifically asked and Fred pretty much put that idea to rest, wasn't happening.

We've got a group of 5 coming 2 hours and we will be there plenty early to see my daughter on campus. The question we have is when to get in line? We are considering getting there at 5 or earlier with some beer. Too bad only 2 of us can drink.

We're in since husband and I don't have b-ball tickets. It's about a two hour drive, not sure how early we need to get there. Not too worked up about where we sit as long as we get in. I have no idea what the crowd will be; people stay home to watch football or pumped for bball? Will there be Clone cones?

The others will just go ahead and drink anyways because its tailgating for an ISU event and nobody will care.

Still kinda debating.

I went to the dunk/3 pt contest this summer. If they scrimmaged or had a practice set up, I for sure would go.
