Friend and I were upper section where flag guy starts and stops. He put his flag down to stretch and "warm up". It crossed my mind to take his flag and head back to my apartment.

Flag Guy has nothing to do with Cyclone Alley btw... It is not fair to connect the two. They are separate ****** entities

Flag Guy gets his seat saved for him by either Cyclone Alley or Hilton staff though. The corner seat closest to the visitor's bench. Last year at least the two seats right on the edge were saved for him and his girlfriend. I saw two guys who had been waiting in line for hours for a game last year - I want to say KU, but I'm not 100% sure - get kicked out of those seats by the old Hilton staff guy with glasses who works that area. Luckily they had friends who had room in the 10th row or so, or else all of their waiting would have resulted in them ending up out of the temporary seating in the student section (all of the closest seats).

They are, but I have heard CAC has Flag Guy's back when it comes to his seat (as well as a the security guy down there).

I still think its a complete joke that he was only like 40 people ahead of me in line and he got front row and I got stuck in the upper section.

Well get buddy buddy with the Hilton Staff then... I don't agree with it but sometimes it is the way it works. I hate the dude as a person too, he is just really stuck up. I thought he was done after last year, I was happy with that thought. I don't know if they are still together though. Taking a quick look at her FB, it doesn't seem like it. Though Flag Guy is trying to make amends by posting on her wall. Cringe-worthy stuff.

Do it. I regret never taking it.

I was much better with him getting that seat when he showed up many hours before tipoff and would've gotten front row anyway. I am not really ok with him showing up like an hour before tipoff or less and getting that seat.

Sounds like he's giving Flag Guys a bad name everywhere. I assume he'll be scolded roundly at the next Meeting of the Flags.

Here's the deal guys. You hate flag guy and I need seats for next year. Just make me the new flag guy and call it a day. You get a sweet awesome guy to run around and I get a seat. Hell I'll just take an upper level seat. I'm not picky.

Should I email JP?

I liked the Flag Guy before this one, he was always one of the first people in line so he didn't have to steal a seat from anybody. He also didn't have a reserved seat for every game, which when you think about it makes no sense for Flag Guy. He could be anywhere in the student section as long as CAC holds onto his flag for the 99% of the time he isn't using it.

Yea, the flag guy before this one was one of the main architects on the Jacksonville Stadium cabana expansion/renovation. He's a pretty cool guy.

You don't want him to pull a muscle and not finish, it would be awfully embarrassing and if we were to lose after that he would be the only one to blame. :jimlad:

There have been three or four Flag Guys. I think we need names for each of them to avoid confusion.
