Once again, players staying healthy and avoiding attrition will be huge. Next year probably needs to be a bowl game for Rhoads to keep his job though, regardless of any injuries or other bad luck that occurs.

Well I think if ISU is going to make a move in football up the Big 12 ladder the next couple of years you have to start now. KU is still craptastic. Things are not going well for Okie St and Gundy COULD be leaving which will drop them down. Snyder only has 1 or 2 years left IMO, KSU goes down after that. Tech is in trouble with Kingsbury, they will hold onto him a couple of years too long. I also feel that Baylor is only good as long as Briles is there, he is 63 I believe. Heck, there is a lot of displeasure with Stoops at OU. Make a change while you can Jamie, we could be competing with 3 other teams in our league for coaches after next season.

Now is the time to change

So Mutcherson will more than likely be gone after the season? Are we still going to sign Michael Johnson in December?

Johnson will be here in January. TJ may be gone, but no reason to expect it from this.

I might be captain obvious here but how/why are people thinking we will be better next year?! Will we finally have a quarterback? Will we have an All-American TE? Are the injuries really what held us back this year?

Look at the schedule next year, and tell me what road games we will win. Toledo. Thats it.

Home games: 3 games. UNI, Iowa, Kansas

4 wins total.

We are so blind that it makes me sick. Even if we win SIX games next year and get to play in the freakin' Liberty Bowl, lets move to 2016 and beyond. Why are we so slow to realize that what we have is not right? This is really disappointing

You get your best receiver back. Your best tackle back. You do lose your TE who has been hurt for some of the year, a WR that has been hurt almost all of the year and a RB who is a wash with the other guys. On defense you lose a DT that has been hurt for awhile, and a DE who is probably the best defensive player we have. A corner becomes a junior, 2 more become senior wand will be challenged by two redshirt freshmen and a true freshman in Johnson. Your safeties aren't in their first year of playing big boy football and neither are 2/3 of your linebackers, not to mention you add at least one guy into the competition in Harris. Then you have the things you add to depth since we really lose very little out of the 2 and 3 deep.

The Farniok haters should scroll to the bottom of that piece and read the full quote the ****-bag DMR neglected to report.

I think with a little luck we can get 4-5 wins next year. So hard to tell this time of year. I'll see who we can bring in from the Juco ranks.

A little luck. Hell were are 6 very winnable games on this schedule, plus 3 toss ups. Luck isn't needed to win those games, just showing up on game day and playing well.

7+ wins is the only way CPR keeps his job. I want to see him succeed but I have major doubt.

We can't afford "enough" sadly.....hopefully we'll catch a few other programs that are down as well next year (OSU, Tech) ect.

If we go 6-6 and get a bowl that we win, Ill feel a bit better. If we dont get a bowl or get to a bowl that we lose in a ****** fashion, he need out ASAP.

Wouldn't it be great if CPR wins 10 games next year? And then says Goodbye. I am leaving ISU and giving all the negative fans that wanted me fired their wish. What would be the reaction of all the Negative Nancys?

what's he going to do, retire? He's not going to find another coaching job where he can win 5 games over two years this far in to his tenure and keep his job.

None of us know the minimum requirements for Roads to stay after 2015, but I think it's pretty clear that any bowl game will suffice. 7+ wins definitely not needed.

I disagree. I'm afraid we could go 4-8 next year and we will still retain CPR.
Basically this. They cite improvement, when the schedule is just marginally softer than this year in reality.
