If it's Alabama/Oregon in the final, I'll watch that. Otherwise I don't plan on watching the playoff or championship game.

I'm just hoping the Big 12 dominates in all of it's bowl games. I also hope OSU gets destroyed, thus making the committee's judgment questionable. If OSU get's destroyed, and Baylor and TCU do well, the commitee members will have egg in their faces.

My wife and I cancelled our DTV subscription several months ago. I sleep better at night knowing I no longer subsidize the hypocrisy that is ESPN. Sucks that I won't be able to watch basketball games, but John and Eric will keep me company.

Sounds awful.

Its basketball season for me now.

That being said, i still hope OSU and FSU get rolled.
Agreed.

And it's comical with all the "not watching" posts. First, most will still watch. We will see proof of such for the game threads.

Second - thanks for letting us all know, because you not watching matters so much.

How about instead of boycotting, TCU doesn't blow a 17 pt lead in the 4th quarter. Or Baylor, don't lose to a 7-5 team.

I'll be glued to the playoff, like millions of others.

Only FSU is unbeaten to be able to make this argument. Losing to Virginia Tech is now better than either of the losses you mentioned above?

Add this to the list.

The only place I'm allowed to shop, according to CF boycott rules, are Gary Thompson owned Swift Stops.

You guys go right ahead and boycott watching the games. I plan to be in front of my trusty laptop checking out all the action. My opinion before the season began was that anyone in the Big 12, not named Texas or Oklahoma, would have to have a perfect record to make the play-offs. Being a Kansas State fan teaches a person bitter lessons that are remembered for a lifetime. Why TCU or Baylor fans thought they would be treated any differently is beyond me.

I was going to post this thread as well, except I'm adding ESPN to the do not watch list. I'm tired of paying money to these corrupt corporations. Might even have to think about cancelling cable when 2 year contract is up in the spring and basketball is over. I will not be watching one minute of the playoff because it's not about determining the best team in the least.
You must be a MBB fan if you are seriously considering boycotting ESPN. Every Big XII conference game will be on one of the 4 letter network affiliates

I loathe three of the four teams and don't like Oregon much either. I have very little interest, whether I call it a boycott or not. Jimbo and Crab Legs make me hurl things at the TV. Maybe I can watch reruns of Hoiball Jan. 1.

Beating #13 Wisconsin 59-0 the day before the selection more than makes up for it. And the committee agreed.

I haven't watched a bowl game that wasn't the NC game or featured ISU or Iowa in probably 10 years. Bowls are boring and pointless.

The playoff (while I'd prefer 8 teams) is going to be awesome. In the end TCU and Baylor didn't get robbed, they lost games and thats why they're not in. In terms of talent and coaching neither of those teams is any better tOSU. College football is still a popularity contest and tOSU is a huge draw, not some small private school that can barely fill their own stadiums when they're ranked in the top 10.

Should I start a thread about what I am actually doing at that time to prove to you that I will not be watching? Sorry, but frankly if it isn't high school or Iowa State (or to a lesser extent Missouri), I find football to be boring. (And Iowa State hasn't made it too exciting lately.) I would rather watch ISU Basketball, spend time with my family, watch a movie, watch TV, play a game, take a nap, watch paint dry or do something else.

I wasn't going to watch it anyways. College football has gotten incredibly ****** over the past 6-10 years, to the point where I absolutely could not care less about most games. This is just another heap of dung on the pile.

It's damn near become boxing at this point. Questionable calls on the field to the "money" teams and now highly questionable playoff choices in the closed room.

Fixed? Maaaaaybe
