I checked the bowl records since the 2004 football season and found the following to be very interesting:
Big XII - 39 wins; 35 losses (52.7%) - 14 wins; 15 losses last 4 yrs
Big 10 - 28 wins; 45 losses (38.3%) - 12 wins; 21 losses last 4 yrs
Head to head records - Big XII 15 wins; Big 10 6 wins

Bottom line is the Big 10 is always over rated so leaving the Big XII out of the final four in favor of another Big 10 school should be no shock to anyone. I hope Baylor and TCU are fighting mad on game day.

I honestly think we'll see beat downs of epic proportions by BU and TCU to prove a point. I feel bad for whoever they play, they'll both try to put up as many points as humanly possible.

Not a direct comparison to the Big 12 but I saw that the Big 10 are underdogs in EVERY one of their 10 bowl games this year.

That's hard to do.

I hope so but they do go against some good defenses and the layoff is never good for spread offenses. That being said, motivation for both needs to come from within because it would be the easier path would be to say **** it.

I hope the foot never comes off the gas in these games.

why since 2004?

Just last ten years? Or did something change then?

Considering how much tougher the Big 10's bowl lineup has been that doesn't surprise me much.

The little 10's bowl lineup is too good for their own good. They are so proud of themselves that they have been able to historically amass a great lineup of bowl affiliations that they forget that that means their teams are generally overmatched in the actual games. January bowl games are great and all, but at some point it just means it is a bigger stage for losing.

Those 21 (15-6) games against the Big XII are killer.

I can think of a bunch of times where a 5/6 place Big team plays a 3/4 place Big 12 team.

that's what I mean when I say the bowl lineup is tougher (well that and playing the SEC a minimum of 3 times)

I agree. I think they both roll over Mich St and Ole Miss. Should be interesting to see what Briles says afterwards.

If the extra practice because of a bowl game is good, the B1G should be a killer conference next year....

Probably get two or three spots in the playoffs. (jimlad)

I wish the Big 12 bowl lineup didn't suck so bad. It seems to continually get worse.

Well, I remember ISU getting into a crappy bowl, and still had to play the number 9 team in the country. Now that was really bad, but it was a good game for a while.
