Derp, I have picked them to win in every bb game so far and picked against us in every fb game except Toledo, NDSU, and KU. I seem to have a pretty good track record wouldn't you say?

That warrants a derp from you, huh? Lolz, ok...

Sorry, you may pick ISU to win some games, but overall you have a negative view compared to the average fan when it comes to ISU. I'm not the first, nor will I be the last, to notice it.

Or maybe a realistic view. I guess I don't have the ability to see the positive light in the football program in it's current state. I don't understand how anyone could, but good for them I guess.

Iowa just won at UNC and some people on here act like this game at Carver is an easy win. This will be a very hard game to win.

UNC would have lost to Viterbo the way they shot the ball against Iowa. 28% from the floor and 17% from deep? Woof!

The game was close because Iowa was equally as awful.

We win.

And Iowa waves hello to the NIT.

I wonder how much this will factor into Iowa's mindset. Their games against us and UNI will go a long way to determining if they make the tournament. They have a pretty tough, front loaded conference schedule, so going into it 9-4 could end up burying them early in the season.

Could be plus for us if they are thinking too much about it. My guess is that's probably too far out in their minds right now to be a factor though.

If you don't think Iowa's NCAA Tournament drought is on the minds of the Iowa players each time they take the floor then you are wrong. Getting an NCAA Tournament bid is one of the most important goals that every team in the country has at the beginning of the season. The fact that Iowa hasn't been dancing in nearly a decade is something that I'm sure weighs heavily on the minds of their players and the staff. Each year that goes by without a tourney appearance just builds the pressure on those kids each time they have a chance to win a "resume builder" type of game.

Iowa State doesn't have that kind of pressure... they make the NCAA Tournament every year and they win games once they get there.

We should win, but with them mucking up play and us being on the road, I'm wary of this game (always).

Iowa shot 15% from 3 tonight and their opponent shot a 0-8 0%. 3-27 for the total game. Let's hope more 3s are falling than that on Friday.

ISU needs to prove it to me on the road, and I think we give up too many easy buckets to Iowa. Iowa is a guard from being a great team this year.

If Dickerson was the player they made him out to be...they'd have been very salty. Has to be frustrating for them that their guards don't seem to improve much year to year. The Ulis (sp?) thing has to sting even more.

White scored 15 on 3 two point baskets and 5 shots tonight...but he does it consistently enough that it's not just home cooking. Guy somehow draws more fouls than just about anyone I can remember without really having a great offensive game that demands fouling.

He's honestly good at his craft. Either Dunk the ball, or if you cant dunk, create contact so you can go to the line and shoot 85%. It's not orthodox, or how Fred would teach it, but it works, and he's good at it. Be good at your craft.

Problem is, they have nobody good at the craft of a go to scorer......We have 2. I'd give it to Niang or BDJ, (maybe even Naz) at the last second, before I'd trust any of their guys.

I think the only way Iowa wins is to keep ISU under 70. A high scoring game favors ISU big time.
