On the first down not measured that everyone is upset about..... Wasn't that the first first down after a touchback? So the ball only needed to touch the 35 yard line, it looked like the chain gang was off and the field crew knew what a first down was.

It was more the player stretching the ball then the ref only twisting the laces up. Perhaps that was the exact spot but it looks bad.
Yeah, I don't doubt the spot where the player stretched the ball was a first down, but I wasn't sold that spot is where he was truly down despite forward progress.
