This team better get things figured out if they are going to comfortably make the NCAA tourney.

That's what I'm seeing right now.

There were some flashes of good things, but every now and then they look very marginal.

A win is a win, if we're going to win the conference were going to win a lot of these grind it out type games. Not going to put up 80 a game this year.

Sure hope Niang can get out of his scoring funk...teams are really working to keep him from going off.

I understand the "no call", but to be a "no call" there has to be something to call or not. Only call on that was....play the fight song! ISU WINS!

Probably the most encouraging part about this game. Didn't play great at all but those are the types of games you need to grind out. Something we didn't do against Maryland and South Carolina.

GN has really struggled the last couple days. He had 5-6 games last year like that too. Just can't seem to make a shot from the outside, making bad passes, taking bad shots in the paint.

BTW: how old is that Forte kid? Seems like he has been throwing in ridiculous 3 pointers against ISU for 10 years.

My future cartiologist should just send my checks to Iowa State Athletics and Oklahoma State Athletics.

Holy @@@@, I thought for sure Niang fouled him there. And Forte would have made all 3 FTs and we would have lost.

Oh well, a W is a W. I think our guys need to understand that a performance like this against KU would be a 20+ pt loss.

Can you imagine how Forte would thrive in our offense? I can believe how automatic he is with very difficult shots

One positive throwback: I think the Elite Eight team won something like 66-65 vs. Nebraska in the early conference season. It may have been AT Nebraska, but still, it's good to remember they weren't perfect.

Otherwise, this ISU team needs to figure things out if they're going to be a top half/conference type of team.
