How many parents of recruited players has KU gotten jobs for? Just curious. Is that still a blatant NCAA violation? Over the years, KU has been the worst fan base and the most rule-infringing program on earth.....with the exception of maybe the Vladavostok Walrus's of the Siberian League who killed a couple of opponents with shivs in the locker room.

You are aware that this isn't against the rules and never has been, right? And don't schools, ISU included, hire personnel largely based on what recruits they will be able to bring in?

Just got to hotel from game....Kansas fans were very friendly and are super passionate about that team, I have no problem with the huge majority.......And Allen is an amazing place to see a game with an electric atmosphere (Crowd noise topped 118 dbs), it's like going back in time when you walk in that gym.....Just wish we would have played better

Glad you had a good experience. My family was at the game as well and said that ISU had a nice sized turnout and that all the ISU fans they saw were friendly and well behaved. Glad KU won and I wish they would play this game on any darn day but a Monday so I could go. Sounds like it was pretty electric in there.

I don't even care what they do because I know we have their full attention and they are threatened by us now, and they should be!

Threatened? No. It's just fun to have another team in the Big 12 that looks like they could be consistently good to go against. Texas keeps trying but Barnes seems to be fading the last few years. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get fired if he doesn't make the tourney this year or next. Drew can recruit the heck out of those fine Southern Baptist but he can't stop shooting himself in the foot in game. West Virginia is a team of scrappers but yikes. I don't want to enter any good natured trash talk with their fan base because I am worried they'll find me and burn down my house. K-State just makes me sad although it's fun to watch Bruce Weber make all those funny faces. Okie State seems to get some good talent despite their pathetic coach and fan support. TCU and Texas Tech are cannon fodder.

KU fans are passionate about their team and enjoy finally having another team in the Big 12 with an equally passionate fan following. We aren't threatened, we welcome it. Nice to have someone to battle. In the long run, it's good for KU.

Kansas played out of their minds, and ISU couldn't hit a single open shot. - transcribed from Tuco (1/17/15, with ISU and Booniversity of Kansas swapped)

No - I did not know that this type of payola was OK in college sports. And are you OK with University of Kansas paying bribes (jobs) to families of your basketball recruits? Please don't get defensive - just curious.

………just seemed like a bunch of screaming ninnies, most of the time over the most pedestrian basketball plays.

No wonder the team folds up shop in the NCAA.

Am I OK with KU hiring two long time basketball coaches to be Director of Basketball Operations (a completely meaningless position that all programs have) because it gives them a better shot at a recruit? Yes, I am. And Ronnie Chalmers didn't get offered the position by Self until months after Mario Chalmers committed and Self found out that his parents were going to be moving from Alaska to Lawrence to be around their son. Larry Brown did clearly offer the position to Ed Manning to aid in the recruitment of Danny.

If the ncaa were to make this against the rules then I would no longer be OK with it.

I guess because that's what you're told then it's true. I'm not sure if you are that gullible, in that much denial or just plain not very smart. Probably a combination of the three.

hiring parents is a little different than hiring good recruiters

Hey I'm no Jayhwak hater. A Bill Self hater, maybe. Most of the Jayhawk fans I know are class people. Even watched the game tonight with one. The ones I know can rattle off Cyclone names from the 80's and 90's, which is respect in my book, or at least great college hoops knowledge which I can appreciate from any fan of any school. It's the fan that just says "oh yeah, but we've won 27 straight conference titles" that annoys me - younger ones who have no Big 8 knowledge.

Decent effort tonight by our guys. Beat by a better team, in one of the best venues in basketball. I still say we're not coming for you - we're already there. I hope we get another shot in KC.

I'm kind of tired of seeing this in multiple posts. Please edit to say "better team last night" in future posts. I am not close to thinking that we are not on-par with KU or better than them this year.

ISU is getting under KU's skin. The talk about Hilton Magic, and the constant positive media attention for Fred has to eat at them. The signs that were denigrating Hilton Magic were great to see. Are we a true rival for KU? Not yet, but they know we are a threat.

For a fan base that loves to make fun of us for booing, they sure boo alot don't they?

What, ku fans hypocritical? Nah, can't be. They were chanting 'ooooooh!' not that other one that's so far below their heightened perch.

According to the media, kansas fans were booing our players from the moment they stepped on the court. This proves they are no better than Iowa state fans.

I hate kansas. I hate bill self. I hate Kansas fans.
