I'm so sick of reading that "it'll be ok" and to "trust fred" after playing selfish, low-effort basketball every ******* game on the road. This team just is not good on the road and it's gonna kill them come tournament time.

Fred either needs to hire another true defensive minded coach like Sadler or change his defensive style. We always struggle on defense so we might as well either play a zone and conserve some energy or begin pressing because we are going to give up easy buckets regardless.

I'm not sure he cares about defense. We lost Doc, and he hired a young offensive mind. I'm curious why, considering our offense has never been a problem.

Recruiting and/or defense is what he should have targeted with that opportunity.

These were expectations set by the players and staff. We upgraded in talent but its not showing. Sorry reality is hard to swallow. The team got worse compared to last year. We have more experience and this getting blown out on the road crap is getting old.

How? We went to the sweet 16 and won the big 12 tourney. We returned a couple guys and brought in some new guys.

This team is NOT nearly as good as last yrs team on defense.....

This team reminds me of the last couple of Eustacys teams that didn't get a whole lot better at the end of the season.

Fred has got a whole lot of coaching to do for this team to finish strong in the conference...

I wasn't until tonight. We have a bunch of hotheads that just don't seem to care. The killer instinct has disappeared from this team. Until we can learn to win on the road, we won't be a contender. This is Fred's best team in terms of talent but fourth best since he's been here.

What worries me is that their deficiencies are obvious (defense, free throw shooting, rebounding) but neither has improved or has signs of improving.

Last year we also won all the non con games unlike this year

...and with a few bounces of the ball the other way, last year's team loses 3 non-conference games, and 2 more in conference.

Some years it goes well, some years it doesn't.

I'm not worried. Fred's teams have traditionally struggled on the road and peaked late in the season. We're right on track I'd say.

I get why you're frustrated, but this was an 11 point loss to a ranked team. There are maybe 5-8 teams in the country that could realistically expect to win this game. A win would have been an upset. Step away from the ledge.

It'll be interesting what Hoiberg says. We are an average team that can beat anybody at home but that's about it.

Worried about what? We were dogs in this game and lost. Guys definitely got frustrated and it was tough to watch but it is what it is.

This game will probably end up with 8-10 losses prior to the NCAA's but still have a top 5 or 6 seed... which puts this at one of the best seasons in program history.
