McKay's jumper looks pretty reliable to me.

I predict many dunks in transition and many dunks after dribble penetration. Showtime.

To be fair he's manning up Hogue and while Hoque is a great defender he has no business guarding posts.

If you add McKay who needs to be close to the rim, then you add McKay's defender close to the rim as well. Suddenly spacing the floor to open easy drives to an unguarded rim is nullified. If you take McKay and send him out to the perimeter to pull his man out there then you have a guy that basically is guaranteed not to be guarded which leaves his defender free to basically play center field and wit to block shots. Suddenly, the "five guys that can score from anywhere on the floor" goes out the window. McKay will be a big help on defense but he will bog down the offense at least some.

Except he can shoot outside jumpers, handle the ball fairly well for his size, and slash to the basket. He'll be fine. Oh, and he's pretty long and quick, so I don't see why he has to stand under the rim. Sometimes Hogue is standing on the block while somebody drives as well. Doesn't seem to bog anything down. People will be suprised with his offensive skill set.

While yes, I think McKay has a decent jumper, he doesn't shot one in that video. I do remember a few ugly shots from the perimeter during the summer but also some makes. He has fairly decent form for a guy his size.

Thread way too long. Probably been said already, but NOBODY is better than Fred at utilizing players. We look more like an NBA team with McKay and Fred knows NBA. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Greenberg was right. McKay took a few games to get into the swing of things. And he is a role player.... Energy guy, great post defender, aggressive on the glass, and runs the floor well. He is pretty ok on his own, but has found an outstanding role in Hoiball.

Who needs a jumper. Just dunk the thing.

On our team we really might not need him to shoot that much, assuming the pieces we're bringing in next year are decent shooters outside of Cooke who we know can stroke it.

We already have Niang, Hogue and BDJ as long guys that can create on the perimeter.

He was the best shot blocker we've had in five seasons immediately. He was also one of the best big men running the floor in college basketball from day 1 which is pretty key for our team, it's not like we're Wisconsin or UNI setting up to kill the clock. The rest of his game is clearly coming along now though.

Yes, McKay has been good from the start, but the team really struggled to find its identity at first with him on the floor.
