Will Iowa State Win Out?

Maybe it is the kool-aid of a road win. I think Iowa State wins out, goes 14-4 and at minimum shares the Regular Season Title.

The toughest game left on the schedule is Saturday against Texas. I think the only thing to worry about with this team, is will they get up enough for K-State and TCU.

It's not the toughest ones we have trouble getting motivated for, it's the off games.

But Texas is gonna be gunning for us. They darn near caught us in Hilton. It's gonna be a fight, and I hope we're ready.

I was wondering when this thread would show up...took a little longer then I expected. That being said, from a pure talent/road standpoint, I think last night was ISU toughest game left on the schedule. Saturday will be the 2nd toughest. Win Saturday, and Ill be on board with possibly winning out, but winning one road game does not completely ease by fear of another road woe.

Funny how quickly things change on this site. A day ago, ISU is 1-4 on the road in the Big 12 and we can't win away from Hilton. Add in one 5-point win and now we are winning the rest of our games.

Playing at Texas, at Kansas State, and even at TCU will not be easy. I think we drop at least one of those games. Saturday is obviously a huge game and is the toughest regular season game left on paper.

And even though I have full confidence for this team playing at Hilton, I expect Oklahoma and maybe Baylor to give us a game there. You never know. It helps that those are two games the team probably believes they gave away on the road, so they should be ready to go to get those wins at home.

Texas is by far the toughest game we have left including last night. Everyone is waiting for them to flip the switch and I have a bad feeling it will be Saturday.

OSU is a better team than Texas (they beat them twice), and by far the tougher venue to play in.

I agree TU will be all primed (think Kansas at Phog Allen) and ready to destroy us.....Having said that I can NOT wait for our next shot at Kansas hopefully in the Championship Game of the Conf. Tourney at the Sprint Center.

My prediction ...........Texas will be a Loss and KU will be our biggest Win of the Season....

Go Cyclones...& Thanks for Freddy Ball.....

I'm not buying that they are the better team and apparently GIA has turned into Carver Hawkeye over the past 10 years. Saturday games will always draw better crowds.

I think that used to be the case but not anymore. The crowd last night was awful. But Kansas lost there so its a big win for us. I still think Texas and at KSU will be tougher games than last night.

I would take a 4-1 finish to the regular season if it were offered right now. 23-7 (13-5) would be a very good spot to be in entering the K.C. tournament. And the three road games left on the schedule all could be challenging, so I'd take 2-1 in those.

We have not won more than two conference games in a row all season.
