Welcome to every single game thread. Up 10, we're unbeatable. Down 1, throw in the towel. Down 5, fire the entire staff. Down 10, burn down Hilton.

And now welcome to the post game thread where posters beat up on straw men and overstate the prior mood of the fan base.

One game at a time. I know we have a tendency to automatically mark a "W" for any game in Hilton, but OU and Baylor are both capable of coming in and winning. Certainly not saying they will, but nothing left on the schedule can be taken for granted.

I'll give you Oklahoma but you can't say Baylor is capable of winning in Hilton until they at least do it once.

Disclaimer: Capable is to strong. Obviously if you go by definition it fits but I don't think you can go with a word stronger than possible. Maybe that's what you meant but it seemed to strong of a claim.

I think we should win too, but did you see what OU did to us in Norman? That's going to be a contest.

Big Monday, last home game of season, senior night, likely second place on the line, and ISU doesn't lose at home = an Iowa State win. Period. We won't lose that game.

You're just talking regular season, right? I doubt it. But I don't think KU will either. The conference is too competitive this year.

Kenpom is picking us to drop two, and UT may be a more difficult matchup for ISU now that Barnes isn't committed to playing Holmes at the 3. TCU is scary, but hopefully ISU is going to that high school gym and playing for a conference title.

Oh, I thought he meant the whole rest of the year including the national championship.

My semi-realistic hope is for ISU to go into the last day of the season one game back of KU in the Big 12 hunt. We play TCU and they play @ OU. Both of those games could and should go our way and we can get a share of the title. And then through all of the celebration there will be those Debbie Downers who only focus on the game in Lubbock as the reason why we didn't end KU's streak.

Talk on sports radio in KC this morning is that Weber has totally lost KSU and they are circling the drain after a beatdown last night at TCU. Get past UT and we shall see.

After Fred's first year, we lose a max of 1 home game per season. It shouldn't be kool-aidish to say that we'll win at home. It's well established by facts that it's what we do.

you must not watch Texas basketball. their crowds are horrific.

Never said their crowds aren't horrific. Just said they should have more there on Saturday than OSU had on a weeknight. I stand by my statement that Texas is a better team than OSU and scares me more.
