Saw a tweet today that said if Thibs leaves, the Bulls will offer CFH. You know how I saw this tweet? Man-Man retweeted it. For some reason, that makes me feel OK.

So how is it gaining momentum? Sounds the same as what we hear every year.

I have no doubts that the Bulls will offer Fred the job.

i have some (not all) doubts that he will decline.

regardless - I can't do anything about it, so I'll wait to cry when it happens, then reflect about how fun the last 4 seasons have been.

I won't blame Fred at all if he goes to the NBA, but I hope he stays a while and gets us some Final Fours.

Nothing is gaining momentum. Fred can jump to the nba any time he wants.

There is no way he would leave on this note especially with the talent coming back.

Okay... so even IF Fred leaves. Why does everyone seem to think it would be the end of the world? We would get a damn good coach. Who would not want to come in with the roster and program we have currently? Yes Fred has done well, but there are so many great coaches out there. Just my two cents.

Does anyone fear that IF he left ISU would go back to 16-16 season? ISU is a tough place to recruit to and odds are the new coach wouldn't land transfers like Fred does.

We have many "insecure boyfriend" types on here. I don't think Fred is leaving this year, but life will go on if he does.

This is the same story that has been circulating for the last 2 days. It is just mentioning Marc Stein's article on ESPN, that is it. There have been articles on ESPN, Bleacher Report, SBNation, ProBasketballTalk, Yahoo Sports, and tweeted a few times. Sorry OP but you are just reposting the same garbage, not your fault. All the article states is that an inside source says the Bulls would want to talk to Hoiberg and that he may be the number 1 target. There is no momentum, there are no legs, there is no fire here.

Re: Fred to Bulls rumor gaining a little momentum..

Every article posted says the same thing. He is the Bulls top choice, and why wouldn't he be? But there is a difference between "he is our top choice" and "he is our new coach." I also don't think he is leaving.

I worry about you Thompson.

Every coach in my lifetime, sans McD, has had success. 4 of the last 5 coaches made it to the second round in Year 2.

The coach that did not have success recruited to Iowa State in four seasons 5 players that played in the NBA, which does not include an eventual AA and Big 12 POY in Ejim or Marquis Gilstrap, a Big 12 Newcomer of the year by some publications.

Hoiberg is the best and it would be crushing if he left in a few years, but have more respect for the program.
