I don't think Coach Otz is looking to snag a transfer from Washinton but, maybe a Grad Transfer though?

Evan Daniels@EvanDaniels 8m8 minutes ago Jernard Jarreau is transferring from Washington & has received his release, per AAU coach Gregg Holmes. Will be eligible immediately.

@EvanDaniels: Jernard Jarreau, a 6-10 big man, missed 10 games during the middle of UW's season. Averaged 5.1 points & 4.7 rebounds in 21 games.

That would work. I'd be surprised if TJ hasn't/doesn't talk to him considering the two bigs we hosted are still visiting other schools. Looks like he had a minor knee injury in Feb, with a more serious knee injury previously. From the second article, sounds like he wants to move closer to New Orleans:

Can definitely see why Romar is throwing out rumors. Probably pretty bitter that his program is crumbling around him (I read that they have as many defections as KSU, this might make it more).

Why would guys that were there before TJ got there transfer and cause Romar to take shots at him?

I know it doesn't fly with standard CF conspiracy theories, but I would be shocked if Romar's intention was to start rumors, to grumble about his situation or to do anything nefarious to TJ or the Mayor. By all accounts, Romar is one of the most respected coaches in the business. He's had three mediocre years in a row, in large part because he didn't have the depth to replace some guys who declared early for the draft (Terrence Ross, Tony Wroten), but he's got one of the top 15 recruiting classes in the country coming in, and he's also pulling in some pretty decent transfers. Those are things that don't happen if your program is crumbling.

Most people don't get that opportunity in this era.
He's had "the talk", that's what this is all about.

Read the updated article on the UW transfer. Only Big12 team contacting him so far, according to the article, is Okie State. Said to be a stretch 4 with good skill set. Problem is, he has been injured 3 of 4 years already. Obviously, Otz would be aware of all this, so who knows. Eligible immediately, plus....due to medical reasons, may have two years to play. Now, that would work nice "if" he's someone Otz thinks would help/fit. You wonder if he can stay healthy. Plus, some already think he'll go LSU, Tulane , or LA Tech to move back home.

Edit: My bad. Just saw a link about this info was already posted above . Sorry.

Considering we have no idea about the health of Naz and Hallice, I'd like to save one to see if we could snag Rasheed Suliamon IF he can graduate this summer.

Respectfully, you have followed the news, right?

He is in a high profile sexual assault investigation
Duke played just as well if not better w/o him.

May want to leave this one at the curb

While I agree there is no way to predict how a hip will react to surgery both had theirs and with expected recovery time I will assume both will be available in the Fall unless we hear of a set back.

Since just added Nick Noskowaik who can play right away and have Matt Thomas who can play SG I don't see the staff adding another transfer SG for next year even if both Hallice and Naz arent 100% to start the season. If the staff was worried about back court depth I would think we would have heard of other combo guard post grad transfers targets by this point. Right now it looks like the staff is really just focused on a backup posts.

Hope you are joking on this. He's a PR nightmare plus you don't want a player that coach K dismissed (only one player to be dismissed during his long distinguished career).
