Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

You do realize if Gentry is the preferred choice, this thing is dragging on until the Warriors either win the title or are eliminated....either way it is a very real possibility this drags on for another 4 weeks.

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

A couple things:

1. We signed our first high school recruiting in like 2+ years. Obviously some reasons for that...

2. Why in the world would Freddy care about compromising the Bulls situation!? If he's staying at ISU, it only hurts him to not say anything.
We also were swinging for the fences on our recruits, and entering the arena's with the Kansas, Kentucky's and Dukes of the world. Plus I think pulling in transfers all the time can result in more negative recruiting than going to the NBA.

Fred knows a lot of people in the NBA, and he is good friends with Gar Forman, if it helps them to stay quiet in negotiating some deal with some other team then maybe he does it. Not saying its happening, but its plausible.

At the end of the day, even if he does not take this job, he will be mentioned for others in the coming years. For those concerned that negatively impacts recruiting maybe its better he just goes to the Bulls this year and that puts a stop to those concerns.

It has been made clear Fred is the only choice right now

I think CW is involved in this and is creating confusion and misinformation to draw out the selection process. Has to be putting his click count through the roof.

Georges slept with both Jameel's and Monte's girlfriend. Or maybe it's the same girl for both. There goes team chemistry

He was in Chicago this past weekend. There's definitely got to be more to this story than CW and CF are putting out there. Something is going on behind the scene, we're just not being told the whole story. This whole thing smells of conspiracy. That's the only explanation.

So you're under the impression that it's Bulls or nothing for Fred?

I'm under the impression he is the guy they want. We will know whether he accepts or is staying by the end of the month.

Re: WHAT DOES THIS TWEET MEAN?

Hey guys, since becoming an avid CF member, I've realized that my reading the meaning of tweets is actually the greatest gift I can give to man kind.

So, I'm gracing you guys with my presence. Clearly this tweet means either...

1. Fred Hoiberg is going to the NBA

2. Georges is going to Europe for ball

3. Chris Williams is going to be on the Bachelorette.

No offense Georges but that is the dumbest quote ever. change isn't always good, it is often bad (And often great). In fact any choice you make will change your life forever.

I'd put my money on finding out Hoiberg's decision within the week. The coaching search could go on for awhile longer.

If they get their #1 target there's no reason to draw it out.

You'll never ever sell it until they need it. A want is not as important as a need.

So someone on a previous page said we could know as soon as Sunday or Monday. I'm thinking that was a guess and not fact huh...

Now we have to wait 3 to 4 more weeks to find out.

I didn't realize how many people actually go to Marty Tirrell's dentist until this thread. Everyone has a source and yet nothing can be proven.

Maybe this whole thing is just Fred's plan to help CW get a temporary bump in traffic. I mean that's just as plausible of a scenario as Fred having a deal in place with the Bulls and all players, coaches, support staff and ISU media knowing and no one leaking anything out, except to several message board posters, for over a week now as some on here like to believe.

Raggy Pete said on Friday's M&M show that we'd know something by mid-week. I say he doesn't know what he's talking about. Let's see who gets the tick this round Randy!
