But I was told Fred had already decided last week? I wonder if CyTwins thinks Keith Murphy is also just lying about this to throw people off of the truth like he thinks Hines is doing?

CyTwins and I heard (almost) the exact same rumors at the end of last week and I highly doubt the people we heard the rumors are the same so there was smoke last week. Maybe time (weekend with family, child's high school graduation) and meeting with JP (rumored to be happening today) will change his mind.

CyTwins and I aren't coming on here and deliberately lying. That would be ridiculous and grounds for a ban.

If he is such a great competitor how about he gets past the Sweet 16, wins a regular season title, win at Kansas possibly? From what others have said he just can't take the pressure of coaching at Iowa State so he is going to the NBA.

Not sure if serious.

Why? Because we're returning one of the best teams in ISU history that he raised? He found ways to make these kids successful in ways most college coaches couldn't...and it's best that he is completely out of the process for who coaches these kids next year?

What if our next coach is more defensive minded...or wants to play the shot clock the entire game....

CFH is a ******* hero, and I highly doubt he'd let JP run this ship to the ground.

If Fred leaves the program, he is the one running it into the ground. JP will be doing damage control, and I doubt he will be able to knock another hire like Fred out of the park again. Luckily, the next individual will probably love ISU so much that he will never want to leave. Oh wait.

Yeah and you've been proven wrong multiple times by much more reputable people. The players weren't told last week, the coaching staff wasn't told last week. Every reliable has source has said no deal is in place yet. But when Fred does eventually take the Bulls job, you can pretend like you were right and the deal was in place last week. Even if Fred himself comes out and says something like "it was a tough decision and it wasn't until last night that I made a decision", I'm sure you'll still think you were right.

Imagine a time and place in the world where Fred Hoiberg is a bigger hero to hok fans than he is to ISU fans. That time is coming.

Listen dude, you don't have to believe me and I don't know why Hines/CW/Murphy say what they're saying but the Bulls knew they were getting Fred since I said it on here and I will stand by that

Fine, so stop beating everyone over the head with it. You are message board poster who claims to have a legitimate source. Meanwhile, people who's names and jobs are attached to being right about these things are saying different. Do you really expect everyone is just going to believe what you say over them?

I hope everything I was passed last week ends up being wrong. That means ISU and Hoiberg are still together and that's all I care about.

Only time and official news releases in the coming weeks will tell.

Because they have something to gain and something to lose so they won't take any chances. CyTwins and Dandy have nothing to gain here and nothing to lose.

No, you can be wrong about everything and Hoiberg could still take the Bulls job. Just Hoiberg eventually going to Chicago doesn't mean a deal was in place last week.

Yeah and they have absolutely nothing to gain by breaking a major national sports story?

I'm not, he called me about about what Keith Murphy said which was wrong. I haven't hardly brought it up since Friday and will never post anything I get told on here ever again

Today, May 19, 2015—a date which will live in infamy—the great state of Iowa was suddenly and deliberately attacked by pro basketball forces of the Empire of Chicago, Illinois.
The great state of Iowa was at peace with that city state, and, at the solicitation of Chicago, was still in conversation with its government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the midwest. Indeed, one hour after Chicago's Bull air squadrons had commenced bombing in the city of Ames, the Mayor of Chicago and his colleague delivered to our athletic director a formal reply to a recent cyclone message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

Because of these hostile attacks, it is our duty to kick out all Illanoy scum from the great State of Iowa. Yes, that means the remove of all students at the disgraceful scumbag University of Iowa which is full of FIB's.

This is war.

I for one will feel way more comfortable if he leaves the next coach with the team we have now vs the team were gonna have next year. Sets up whoever the next guy is for a much better chance at success compared to coming in with half a roster filled.

It's official....MarvinEjim is secretly Brent Blum

JP also rejected Hoiberg when he first asked for the job and hired McDermott instead (JP has even said this on many occasions). I like Pollard, but feel like he was extremely lucky. We were so far up s*it creek that he decided to finally give Hoiberg a chance after McDoormat left. Had a hire slightly better than McDoormat been made, Fred may not be here right now. He rejected Fred before getting so desperate that he had no other choice. JP really didn't want Fred coaching. Now Fred has saved him for the gigantic mistake of what he's done with Rhoads and his outrageous deal.

And THIS is the problem. No two ways about it, it will feel like a nuclear kick square in the nuts and then a dung-fling in our direction for good measure; this is our native son, the Cyclone white knight who said this was his "dream job"! We will deal with it. We are Cyclones. But it WOULD be the biggest blow to Cyclone athletics in our history. Not sure how that's debatable.
