So what we know today.

No announcements today

Hoiberg has yet to be contacted by the Bulls. Per CBS Sports

Nobody has contacted the Bulls about taking over Thibs contract. Per CBS Sports

Flips Saunders said he is going to coach at least 1 more year. So Fred probably not going to the T-Wolves.

The fact they have not spoken to Hoiberg, pretty much indicates they are not willing to fire Thibs, and if no team cuts them a deal what then. I mean if they were planning on firing the guy anyway why not just make the deal with Fred and be done. Guys like Stacey King saying Thibs is with the Bulls next year.

Saying he is gone just not adding up here.

Math is not CF's strong suit.

This. Everyone's losing their heads because so many posters here wear the "we expect to get a knee to the groin every other day" mentality like a badge of honor. I'm reminded of a segment from the 30 for 30 "Catching Hell", where they talk to Red Sox fans about the curse and how fans would look for any sort of omen and then declare that everything was ruined, even when the Sox were winning the game. It's mind-numbingly stupid.

C'mon man. I hate the knee to the groin mentality as well, but I also think your Red Sox analogy is terrible.

So did all those anonymous sources that claimed this would be over in 24 hours, mean 24 days?

How so? Everyone seems to think it's already a done deal, despite the fact that there is absolutely zero evidence to suggest that's the case. That's the knee-to-groin mentality at work, and now if Hoiberg does ultimately leave, those people will say "see, I told you so," when there still is no evidence to support the theory that it was already decided at this point. He might leave, but that doesn't mean all the people who think he's already gone are actually correct. They're just throwing darts at the wall.

It's just as likely that Hoiberg is listening and hasn't made any decision either way, as it is that he's already accepted a job that technically isn't open and he's just waiting until an appropriate time to announce it.

Maybe this was discussed earlier, but Ken Miller was talking about the fact that Hoiberg probably isn't on the best of terms with Pollard, ranging from the whole Bubu thing to Pollards comments last week. It's no secret that Ken is not a fan of Pollard, so it could very well be him taking a shot at Pollard, but does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

I wouldn't take anything Ken says seriously.

Hey guys just checking in on my 13th beer to prepare myself. Let me know if I need to get a case of 1.75L cheap vodka and take a vacation week.

Thanks.

We were told a week ago this is about to heat up and the process will be a fast one. Some thought by the end of the weekend a move would be made. We were told 36 hours ago we will know more in 24 hours. Yet we know no more now than we knew 4 weeks ago.

"Journalist."

Really not sure what you're getting at there. There's nothing that suggests a damn thing with any certainty, yet the majority of this board has already jumped off the ledge.
