He only made the Ncaa Tournament in his first year at MS
What scares me is this year is a lock!

Then what!

Go look at at Murray St over the last 3 years they lost to all of the big teams!
I just went over the schedule and I dont feel good at all!

That would be like saying that Iowa State played a bunch of NBA teams and lost to all of them that they played. He is going to get higher level players at Iowa State than Murray State.

Thanks for the job offer coach... BUT I am going to see how this other thing works out for me over here... If that falls through though... I'm ALL IN

I feel like I'm watching the old ladies in the TV commercial.

"That's not how any of this works."

My favorite part of the whole thing was the Hy-5 grocery store comment. Ha. Ha. Ha.

I do agree with what everything you said, but I don't know if I've ever treated myself to an 11am Tuesday beer before

Today is the perfect time for your first. I'll join you in that morning Tuesday beer if it makes it feel more justified.

I get that - My point is, why should we wait for them. If they want to stay behind and interview for the HC job, congrats... Prohm needs to move on now and hire his staff.

I would be very surprised if Prohm doesn't already have a couple of spots filled verbally. He's being respectful to our current players and coaches by not announcing anything this week.

you serious Clark? Walden brought him to Ames.

True, but keeping Troy was his first and possibly most important recruit.

Troy was very homesick after his FR year, and probably would have left if Walden had stayed.

CSP quote "I want to be at a basketball school." "I want to be in a small college town."

You worry a bit about the fact that he's from the south. The good thing is that he isn't from the deep south or a big city.

We just left a NCAA "dead period" in recruiting and pretty much the entire month of June is a "quiet period. I'm fairly certain that Coach Prohm can text kids himself. I don't think he needs a full staff to send texts. When the evaluation period opens up in three weeks I imagine we will have a staff in place.

Quiet period and dead period isn't "Vacation period". Kids and parents are texting TJ and Cornell right now asking if they are going to be at ISU next year.

From what I've heard, he shared list of his proposed staff during the interview process. However, if you saw the video of Monte talking about the staff last night, it's pretty apparent that how Prohm handles the hiring has the potential to create some rifts in the team. For example, rumor has it that Mann was already out the door, but if it comes off looking like Mann leaving was Prohm's choice, some of the guys on the team may have some hard feelings.

High school in Georgia, college in Alabama, assistant coach in Louisiana. That's kind of the deep south.

That's why he probably wants to be careful about it. You are dealing with a lot of moving parts. Do the Iowa State assistants want to be here? Do they want to leave?
