General Hy-Vee's chicken is pretty top shelf. Dollar for Dollar a pretty decent facsimile of a Chinese dish
Depends which Hy-Vee, actually. Some are damn good and some are inedible.

Did I say something was hard to understand? It's not hard to understand, however that doesn't make it any less concerning.
I agree that Underwood's resume is better, but personality and style fits are much more important than resume.
It's far from real Chinese food, but okay. I just put quotes around it - calling that stuff Chinese food is not right LOL

Hoiberg texted Prohm, too, about his house just outside of Ames.
Pete is unbelievable isn't he. I wonder if he stayed up all night working on his question. Coach's response was good.
Our Hy-Vee has Chinese people preparing it.
That's obviously not the case.
I actually grew up next door to a guy from China, who, for about 5 years managed the Chinese part of a Hy Vee in Minnesota. Trust me - it doesn't matter. No offense to Iowans, but the average one isn't very adventurous when it comes to ethnic food, even if the food isn't anything overly weird. They do what they can to sell it and they're selling you Chinese inspired, but not necessarily real Chinese dishes. They are about making money, not about being 100% true to the cuisine and obviously most people have zero idea what they're eating isn't actually Chinese food (but Chinese inspired).
No single person from China (I'm not talking about someone who moved from there when they were like 6) would walk into the Hy Vee and think they were getting authentic Chinese food.
So I like to project my thoughts onto Fred, because we're close like that. I think it's a real reason he considered leaving this year. This program is ready to take the steps toward 'blueblood' status, and he knew it wasn't going to be him, so leave the best returning team we've ever had to someone who can hopefully take the team the to the next level. That would be the thing that really cements Fred's legend.

We get it. Start a new thread if you want to discuss Chinese food.

Is this the best thread derailment ever? There are now two completely different discussions taking place with no overlap and nobody from either discussion seems to be getting upset about it. Has the loss of CFH caused this little community of ours to mature?
Last post about Chinese in Hy-Vee's. Most of the people working in the Chinese department at Hy-Vee are actually Vietnamese and not Chinese.
Chinese food and parkour. I want a thread about that.
