If he wants to be successful he'll need more than just Southern ties. I assume this mean T.J. could stick around. Seems more and more likely he remains on staff.

People are getting way too wrapped up in this "Midwestern" thing.

Talented, hard working people can be productive whether they are in Iowa or Georgia.

This guys not even going to be drawing up in bound plays during timeouts or going to do in-home visits to close the deal with recruits.

What do you think coaching is? You hire people you know and trust. Hoiberg couldn't do this (other than Matt A.) because he had never coached before and didn't have the contacts most coaches already in the profession do.

Good example, but hiring guys you know and trust happens in almost every coaching situation. And I would hardly be getting working up over someone who is a Special Assistant to the Head Coach.
