The big ones...

I was a Saturday/Sunday attendee at the Masters when Bubba won.

4-5 Indy 500s back when it was race MONTH and the series wasn't ruined

2 Brickyard 400s

The races were way cool and it was amazing how different yet enjoyable the fans were. Indy is like a cubs game - lots of drink, lots of sun, lots of not paying attention to the race. Brickyard (and NASCAR fans in general) are WAY knowledgeable and passionate about their sport.

Hilton
The Sprint Center this past March was pretty fun. I sold my corner balcony Texas Tech ticket at Hilton for $75 then lucked out when a friend's coworker couldn't go due to sickness and we got their two tickets for $75 each to the championship against KU. Best trade ever.

Also been to a couple Indy's though the 3am tailgating has those memories slightly distorted.

Manchester United-Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium last year. Largest crowd to watch a soccer game in U.S. history (109,318).

ISU's Round of 32 win in 2000.

Game 3 of the 2006 World Series (StL and Det)

2 round robin and one knockout stage game of the 2012 European Cup (PL vs CR) (Spain vs Croatia) (Round of 16 Portugal vs Czech Republic)

Game 6 of the 2014 Western Conference finals (Kings at Blackhawks)

Was at a Royals game when Carlton Fisk broke the record for homeruns hit by a catcher. Royals won.

Headed to the PGA at Whistling Straights in August, missed the 2012 Ryder Cup due to the early birth of my son (was two weeks early) not complaining just saying.

Two best atmospheres I have ever been in are Game 6 of the WCF in 2014 and the Poland Czech Republic 2012 euro.

Indy 500? I see we're using the term "sporting event" loosely here :jimlad:

I have little desire to do many really major sporting events. If Iowa State isn't in it, I'd rather go to a first/second round NCAA games than the Final Four. I have no desire to go to the Super Bowl. A Masters would be fun though.
