Just released:

Otz $275k
Robinson & Small $235k

Is it me, but did you expect these to be a bit higher considering how much we're saving from Hoiberg?

Not surprised we under cut them. See them in the papers after they leave for better paying jobs and we can all play the sob card cause no one wants to stay here.

That is pretty depressing. ISU will have the lowest paid staff/coach in the BIG12.

I'd treat Otz as I would any other assistant in his first year at a school. His fault for hopping to Washington.

Two questions:

What was Otz making at Washington?

Would Otz's salary have been decided prior to Hoibergs departure?

Im pretty sure thats higher than last time Otz was here though. I think he was 225k or maybe 250k. His next recruiting class should get him a raise and based on year 2 of the Prohm era if its good....then these salaries neeeeeeed to go up. If they bomb next years team....then they are over paid.

Otz got a 20% increase from when he signed up as Hoiberg's assistant in March to today. So he really doesn't have anything to complain about.

Not really looking to argue with you directly, but I'm one of those people tired of seeing our coaches leave for other places. Put our money where our mouths is. We all want to win supposedly, but no one is willing to open their check books. Farmers got money, you aren't fooling me!

Otz was making $218k at Washington, I think he'll survive with 275.

This is about $150k more than we spent on assistants last year.

Im with you. I do think we need to give them a year to see how they do but if they do well we need to give them a raise. Sick of losing lead recruiters on top recruits and it hurting our recruiting
