A few doubles or triples in the last month or two. I'm happy with him, excited to see it all on the court soon.

I like Prohm's quote that he is now actively recruiting and talking to kids that would not even have picked up the phone when he was the coach at Murray State.

41 yes, 0 no, 5 in between.

Can't believe we've had 46 people vote and not a single one has been an idiot.

I'm waiting for phychicsrus to come in and tells us how awful Prohm is.

Really doubt you will see Psychobabble until we lose our first game. Then look out.

I am happy with Prohm altough I would like to evaluate his chair toss and laptop kick more thoroughly to see how it stands up to the competition.

That's awesome to hear and thanks again to Fred for making ISU a brand name again! Prohm has the keys and he will take this program to the next level!

I assume you mean "when we have our first loss" and not "when we lose the opener vs. CU."

Although the latter situation would bring a mean streak in the fanbase.

Well that would be correct. Although I suppose only beating CU by a dozen or so, away from home, in Prohm's first game, will be enough for the anti-Prohm crowd to take up arms. It will happen, we will lose one we shouldn't in the non-con. Actually, we could probably win the Big XII and make the Final Four and they will be calling for his head still since he did it all with Fred's guys.

Prohm seems to have momentum on the recruitment process, especially considering he was hired in June instead of April. Time will tell about the payoff of incoming students. Current team seems on-board from the outset and Prohm's style of play appears to be a good transitional mesh.

The recruiting action is encouraging for immediate needs and also looking beyond 2015-16. Hoiberg seemed to have a couple years of stagnation with high-school circuit. It's among the few C-level grades I would assign to his tenure, beyond specific game results such as "UAB Day." (Fred's transfer/juco strategy remained strong throughout his five seasons).

I am happy with his recruiting and staff hires. I also respect the fact that he is a religious man, but I am hesitant about just how much religion he will bring into the locker room.

Speaking only for myself, I'd be fine with a double-digit win in that one. Neutral court (with slight regional lean our way) in SP's power-conference debut, even if there are no high-level postsaeson expectations for Colorado --- cool with me. Bigger fish to fry.

As for non-conference "shouldn't have lost but did," I agree it's possible, given makeup of schedule (several neutral/road games fit the category). I'll be disappointed if there are more than a couple unexpected surprises, mainly because there isn't a game on the schedule that qualifies as "a likely loss" (i.e., winning such a game could balance an off-night).

Like the guy a lot! Didn't think he would gain any enemies for being a religious guy considering we are in Iowa. Like the guys he has been targeting and his hands on approach!

It's nice that he's undefeated, but it kinda sucks that he hasn't won a single game here.

Originally pleased with hire, didn't like religious stuff, then a bit concerned on caliber of kids recruiting for a major reload job with playing time to offer. Last night seeing we are in the lead for some top shelf juco and HS talent made me feel better about Prohm's ability to land recruits. I would say I am cautiously optimistic at this point (I picked in between but am trending toward a yes)

I'm happy thus far with what he's said, the fact that he is beyond excited to be coaching at ISU, and recruiting is going great.Still waiting on BodeClone to fill us in with his "expert" knowledge on what he needs to improve and how minutes need to be divided up next year. We really should've just hired BodeClone to be our next coach since he clearly understands how to coach a team at the highest level of collegiate ball.
