Really doubt you will see Psychobabble until we MISS OUR FIRST FREE THROW. Then look out.

I am happy with Prohm altough I would like to evaluate his chair toss and laptop kick more thoroughly to see how it stands up to the competition.

I would add an option "good so far but need to see him coach games and get a season under his belt"

Huge positives so far:

1. Kept all the returning players.
2. Players seem to really like him.
3. Not afraid to work his players hard. They seem to understand they have to be mentally tougher.
4. Was able to retain TJ.
5. Got a guy like Carter to join at the 11th hour.

Guys, I just don't think Prohm is doing it "The Right Way." He hasn't even graduated anyone yet. F-

So far, so good. He has done the nuts and bolts of the job in a great way, and has said all the right things and shown a lot of grace in taking the position after Hoiberg, which is obviously a difficult thing to do.

I honestly don't think that there is a way that you could argue that it has been a net negative. If you told me in April that Fred is going to leave, the best case scenario I would think is we hire a coach who has a similar style of play, a track record of NCAA success, preferably younger, keep the team motivated and together, keep TJ in Ames and start recruiting for the future. So far he has checked all of those boxes but Prohm wasn't built in one day

That does not magically remove the stupid from the question.

How is it a stupid question? There have been many positive things Prohm has done since he's been hired and there have been a lot of opportunities for him to make mistakes.

Hiring a good staff, adding front court depth for this season and bringing in talented kids on visits for 2016 is HUGE for our program moving forward

Ya, it takes 9 months, but the day prior to that was the fun day.

Well that would be correct. Although I suppose only beating CU by a dozen or so, away from home, in Prohm's first game, will be enough for the anti-Prohm crowd to take up arms. It will happen, we will lose one we shouldn't in the non-con. Actually, we could probably win the Big XII and make the Final Four and they will be calling for his head still since he did it all with Fred's guys.

The thing is that now they are his guys. Fred is not here any longer and he has made them his guys. Time will tell but I look for good things.

It seems like Prohm is focusing more on the #25-100 type recruits while filling in with talented jucos guys that maybe are not top 100 but have solid offers from good programs. That really is the formula at ISU to succeed. If Fred couldn't land the 5 stars (and his NBA flirtation hurt that) nobody will in Ames with any real consistency.

I can see a good class coming for 2016 and a potentially really good to great class in 2017 after he gets his wins and has more time to develop relationships.

very positive results so far. Why would his religion bother anyone except some fringe nut. I see you may have fallen for the DMR strawdog.

So we aren't going to have any fire Prohm threads this year? I'm disappointed in you guys.

First one should pop up right around the time we give up an offensive rebound in a conference game. Anything less than giving up 2 offensive rebounds in a game and shooting 127% from the free throw line is unacceptable.

Way up there
I am happy with his recruiting and staff hires. I also respect the fact that he is a religious man, but I am hesitant about just how much religion he will bring into the locker room.

Check the top couple of hundred high school players in the country and see how many are from high schools with religious affiliation, its an overwhelming majority. I don't think it will be an issue to anyone except those with an axe to grind against religion in the first place.
