Yes winning is hard. But it should be obvious to all but a few that to be of FF caliber, you should be able to win there. Did I say must? NO. Able refers to having the skill or ability to win. So, my statement is based on the fact I am able to use and understand a dictionary. If you believe ISU is not able to win (not possessing the skill or ability to do so) they are not an elite team. I personally feel the players are able, I (and those that did the search for Alabama) wonder if the Coach does.

There is no correlation between winning in Lawrence and getting to the Final Four. ISU could lose in Lawrence by 30 and get hot in the tourney and make a run.
So far, so good. It's a great opportunity for him but this first season will be kind of a tough spot for him no matter what the team does. Win and make a Final Four run? Well yeah, but he did it with Hoiberg's guys. Bow out early in the tournament? Well, if he can't get it done with that team then what's he going to do with all of them gone?
Did I say a correlation, NO. That means a connection based on actual results, I used the term able. I will help you with an example. I am able to use a dictionary and am able to actually read posts, are you? If I was trying to establish a correlation between that ability (or lack of it) and actual intelligence, I would have said there is a correlation with my posting and intelligence that is not present in yours.
Sergeant Semantics, would you give us peons the criteria that you're going to use to judge if Iowa State is able to win in Lawarence if they do not do so?
I thought I did. Able, according to the dictionary, means ": having the power, skill, money, etc., that is needed to do something"
Does that help you? I think you would agree that if you posses the ability or skill to get to the FF, you have the skill or ability to win at Kansas.

Speaking of basketball, drove through Louisville today on my way back to Chicago from the Smoky Mountains. Saw the KFC Yum arena and almost threw up. It got me thinking as I read this question this morning, before we left Tennessee. And I couldn't help but think, "That was Fred's last game as ISU coach. I really don't know much about Coach Prohm, but it's pretty simple for me, get to the NCAA, don't lay an egg in the first round and I'll be happy. Mainly because seeing that arena today really did make me sick.
So you don't have criteria, you're just going to use that loss as more of a reason to *****, moan, and go off the deep end, got it

Did I ever imply specific criteria NO. Only an idiot would not realize you must be able to win at KU to make the FF. That skill could be many things, speed, rebounding, tough D etc. I hope you realize that, I hope ISU can teach more than how to pray and get Alabama hand me downs.
True, you didn't imply specific criteria in the event of a loss. You just implied that they needed to win.

That post implies that we need to win at Kansas.
