The Leidang were the Norsemen that stayed home and acted as a home guard while the Vikings went out raiding.

I'm of Norweigen descent and am pretty much a home body so it seemed to fit.

mixture of ISU and the last half of my last name U-ska (not us-ka, I am not Adam Haluska)

It was created by one of my HS wrestling coaches after I was accepted into Iowa St. my senior year.

I don't know why I do it all lowercase though

I am a carob connoisseur. and added cy in front of it. But then CW messed up my name on a podcast and said it was stupid, so i changed it.

i was looking for something original... I visited the "cy" part of the dictionary, but found nothing that moved me......then i visited the "sy" area of the same dictionary, and found the word syzygy, meaning a unique whole found from disparate elements, which made think of "punching cy" mid 90's version, and adopted the name cyzygy...I tacked on 11 because it's my number, and because I thought other people would have thought of this idea..this is why I"m Cyzygy11.....

I just assumed you passed out on your keyboard.

Mine is pretty self explanatory

I started college after a 4 yr stint in the Navy. Started rock climbing with a freshman on our floor -- he was 4 years younger than me. So he started calling me Old Man. I work quite a bit with him and his younger brother and they both still call me that. Not sure if they even know what my real name is anymore. Now I'm starting to get close to the age where it really fits. That and I'm grouchy.

I have lived in Iowa since 1988. Tron Smith and Chris Williams probably do not remember my first name. They know I am a K-State graduate and call me Wildcat. Besides, there are lots of Mikes in Ames but just a few Wildcats.

Mine's my nickname. It's also the nickname of basically anyone else with the last name Fitzsimmons, Fitzgerald, Fitzwilliam or Fitzpatrick.

Fitzskywalker, Fitzdumbledore, and Fitzcaptainamerica are the lesser known Fitzys (or is it Fitzies?)
