Lanning looks really promising. Hey the D knocked Baylor's starting QB out of the game. Game was so much better than I thought it would be

Overall I am happy with the game. I saw enough in the second half after the QB change to think that we would have made it a game if Lanning had started. Not saying we would have won. But it would have been a good one.

Sucks to lose, and I know we're still not a good team. But I have some hope for the remainder of the season. Should be a little more exciting on offense anyway.

We will have a shot at WVU, KSU and OSU if we play like we did the second half and just make Lanning the starter. Especially if/when AL comes back. Not saying we'll beat all 3, but we will play right with them. Huge ifs though.

A lot to be happy with today. Ton of heart shown by our guys. Most enjoyable loss I've watched in a while.

Lanning looks like the future in a big way. With him and a couple great backs, a lot to look forward to.

cant play Sam anymore, team just won't play for him anymore

I haven't kept up with the thread, so it may have already been said, but each and every coach on the staff that thought Sam was our best shot to win should be fired.

After looking at the film, the decision will be made to start Sam again. Sam just needs another shot at it.:jimlad:

Seriously, Lanning should have been given a shot before this. He runs better and throws better than Sam. It is not even close.

Like all of you, I'm grateful that Cole missed that extra point and the onside kick failed. We could have made the game even closer and maybe Rhoads wouldn't have been fired. Thank god we still lost by 20 points. It would have been better had Baylor covered the spread like we were all hoping for. Maybe then we could have left Rhoads down in Waco instead of flying his worthless *** home to Ames.

In all seriousness, it was a great effort by the defense in the second half. And the offense got a bit of momentum going as well. The team should have a bit of confidence going into next week and probably won't be as beat down mentally and emotionally as I was afraid of.

You can thank me. I had to stop watching mid-2nd quarter.
