God a lot people whine about this show. The same thing with Game of Thrones. I guess the best shows on TV get the most haters.

GOT is well written and makes the viewer believe in magic, dragons, and ice zombies. WD is a poorly written cash grab by AMC that trolls its audience with unbelievable premises and constant plot holes.

I love GOT and tolerate WD anymore because it's like a car crash and I can't look away. WD on HBO would be amazing, but it's on AMC who sucks.

So did you not watch the first half of the episode, then wonder if you missed something? The scene with the doctor lady crying because she was overwhelmed and couldn't figure out how to save the patient was a fairly lengthy scene. Not sure how you could have missed it.

I have a husband that likes to theorize and ask questions while the show is on (he has a complete inability to wait for the commercial breaks). Consequently, yes...sometimes I miss a scene here & there.

FWIW, I didn't understand why removing pus from his wound was such an "aha moment" for her either. It never dawned on her the wound could be infected and this woman is the top medical person in Alexandria? Weak.

To be fair, they killed the actual doctor in town. This girl I believe was pre-med for a year or two, but didn't go to med school. She was just the next best option in a very small community.

She was going to school to be a surgeon but started to have panic attacks so she switch to being a psychiatrist.

My wife and son are the same way. I use the 'pause' button a lot.

Yeah - that only works in the living room for us. We were upstairs last night because he had a Clash of Clans thing going on...that caused him to miss stuff...that caused him to ask questions...that caused me to miss stuff...

Vicious cycle. Next time those circumstances apply, we'll watch in different rooms! ;)

Got ya, I knew it was something like that where she's not actually a physician/surgeon.

Psychiatrists have an MD. If she was doing med school rotations when she discovered her aversion to surgery she would still have to finish all of her rotations and obtain her MD in order to become a psychiatrist (I think)... She could be a physician without being a surgeon. :)

I will say the writing and plot holes has taken a downturn the last couple seasons but a "car crash" is being way over blown. It's no Heroes...

I'm on the side that thinks there is more to this "hot damn" moment that pulling **** out of a wound to fix an infection. Simply withdrawing the **** will not fix an infection.

But I guess making us believe that she saved the man's life by doing something like that is more believable than if they try and make us believe Glenn survives that zombie attack

EDIT - I love that pus with 2 s gets the asterisk treatment

It's kind of funny - in 6 seasons of TWD the sewer walkers were the first that actually made me cringe (even when they recapped on TTD).

I watched it on my phone this morning so I didn't notice the walls bleeding (although it was confirmed on TTD that they were) - I just thought it was showing a weak spot in the wall that, in a future episode, the walkers will bust through. Perhaps it's both.

Also read a site that indicates at the end that is a single stream of blood running down the inside of the wall, not the walls weakening.

Both GOT and WD suffer when they stray from the cannon. For GOT, the added stuff last year was terrible and added nothing to the story.
