We've had fewer issues driving in from the west than from the east. YMMV. We're in Manhattan this time around, thankfully.

Anybody else have previous experiences in Manhattan? What is the night life like? Was thinking about going down and doing the whole tailgate/bars thing, trying to get to as many college towns as I can while I'm still young.

All you need to know is Aggieville.

Four of us in Section 16, row 10. My wife and I are SEZ season ticket holders at Jack Trice. First time going to K State. Couple coming with us has a daughter getting her PhD at ISU and a son-in-law (the other daughter) just started on his Masters at KSU, but the parents are both Husker fans. So who knows who they will cheer for. Most likely ISU. But we are going down Saturday from Omaha and back home after the game. We'll pry look for some late lunch before leaving town. Right now Accuweather has a high of 52 but possible light rain. But a lot can change before then. Who ever thought K State would be about the 3rd or 4th easiest game on our schedule? I appreciate Rhoads' comment at the presser in response to having the #1 toughest schedule. Never easy for ISU, but I am thankful for all the players and coaches who give so much effort despite facing such adversity.

Last season I decided I was going to make the trip this year to see Farmageddon in Manhattan. But a friend of mine is getting married. WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN NOT TO GET MARRIED DURING FOOTBALL SEASON?

We missed three home games as season ticket holders in 2005 for that very reason.

We were on the CF bus in 2013. We also did an independant road trip back in the early 2000's when Seneca was up for the Heisman and the team tanked in the second half of the season. We were in the first two seats, second row from the top, in section 430. Take a look at Surly's map. We needed binoculars to read the numbers on the uniforms. It was a night game, it was raining, and I think we MAY have scored a field goal. Or maybe not. Our section emptied out, and it was PapaLew & I, two guys and the adolescent son of one of them, and two ISU coeds, freshmen on their very first road trip. It was so bad, all we could do was laugh. We were doing the wave (all seven of us)...cheering the team on, just generally making the best of things.

However, based on our two trips down there, I think ISU FB and all of CF would probably prefer it if PapaLew & I never go down to a game in Manhattan again! :)

My 8 year old and I are going! I scored tix on StubHub in Sec 19 for $50 for the pair (after costs), I think we did pretty good

Any tips on parking would be appreciated, we'll be rolling down on Sat morning, leaving DSM around 4.

Colorado, I think we'll tailgate at a grass lot NE of the stadium. I believe it is on the corner of Denison and Kimball.

We are gonna head out Friday afternoon from DSM and stay overnight in Topeka.

I am going with three friends...one is my brother an iowa fan (gag I know, but I won the tickets so I figured I would be nice) but I told him he can not bring any iowa crap and he had to cheer for us! We will be sitting in section 17 rows 32-33. This will be my first road game so I am trying to figure out tailgating and whatnot. We will be staying at the Four Points for the weekend...anyone else staying there?

Ahhh I remember the trip to Manhattan two years ago. We got curb stomped, but Levi gave us this gem.

Also, make sure you bring plastic cups. Evidently they're not too kind about open containers, even if it is just a can of beer. Manhattan is a great town and atmosphere, if it was earlier in the season I would definitely make it down.

I will be at the KSU game in Manhattan on November 21. Game time is set for 11AM. I will be with my wife, a KSU grad, and a couple of others - none of whom are rooting for ISU. Who else will be at the game? Tailgating plans? I'd love to hook up with some CF'ers before or after the game.
Plan on being there, sitting in section 16 (End Zone). Got the tix thru the ISU ticket office, so I hope to be around other cyclones.....

I will be in Lawrence tomorrow morning and may go to Manhattan for the second half. Any recommendations to get tickets?
