We need Naz at 100%. This team hasn't had that killer instinct from 3 since his injuries started. I know he had off nights before, but the confidence behind the arc was contagious.

??????? Naz was one of the players I was most impressed with. He shot when he had decent looks, the other times he drove to the basket.

Naz looks awesome. Ball didn't go in the hoop. We should have been blowing by their close outs. Could have been dunk city all night if our guards just head faked their catch and releases and drove by them. Missed a ton of bunnies tonight.

What game did you watch? The ball did go in for Naz (5-9) and we scored almost all of our points on blow-by layups.

I think he's one of the best all around athletes on the team.

His injury/surgery takes time to fully recover from, but I think most of problem is residual pain. He is certainly explosive. He is also tough enough to play through it

It was after a foul, but that dunk with his left hand was impressive. Seems to be taking it to the hole a lot stronger this year.

Naz played one of the best games of his career mentally wise. His shot wasn't falling so he took it hard inside. At the end of the year he did not do that. He did what he had to do to score and it worked. Well. The development he has made since his Redshirt Freshman year is insane.

Exactly. Plus, I hear they have drugs for pain now. Also, it's very likely he was playing with a lot more pain last year than what he is having now.

Naz and Nader are both absolute horses. Those two need to take it to the rack every time because they're stronger, quicker, and more athletic than most the guys guarding them. I don't think we'll need to rely on the three as much this year, and that's a good thing.

They seemed to be selling out to take away the 3, and frankly it worked. I wonder if other teams will follow suit.
I'm ok if they try. It worked in the sense that we didn't make a lot of threes but we took advantage of the driving lanes they gave us. They made it close late when they made 3 three's in a row while we shot ourselves in the foot on the offensive end. But overall we controlled that game in the final few mins.

If 40% from 3 and 56% from the field equals "shots not falling" then you need to dial down the expectations a bit.
