I like Paul as a person, but I don't really feel for him. He could retire right now and live happily ever after... so why should anyone feel sorry for the guy?
And.... he had more than enough chances to prove he deserved to stay on as head coach, and has failed at nearly every single one of them.
Talk about a fine line though. ISU wins that game yesterday, and I think Rhoads might have stayed on for another year. But it is time to move on. Mangino knew what Rhoads had to do to save his job, and that's why he tweeted what he did yesterday. He knew it was over for him. Still a low class move, but you had to think he knew what he was talking about.
I hope JP has a few names already lined up for interviews.
