If we can, let's keep it here for consistency.

I'm not pretending to be some Xs and Os guru but would his style of offense be somewhat neutralized by Big 12 speed?

I'd try it before trying to out-Baylor Baylor again, but I think the offense we've run in recent games or Iowa's offense make more sense.

I don't doubt he has great leadership qualities and attention to detail to get Navy to where they are so maybe it doesn't matter.

I feel like Mike Leach is going to be our Billy Gillispie for this football search.

He's also gotten to where he's at with Navy with guys who have to meet military weight requirements, and guys who know they have several years of military service ahead of them before they can even think about the NFL.

ISU needs someone that doesn't run a spread offense. With the lack of recruiting compared to many big 12 teams you're fighting fire with fire. They need someone like the Navy HC or the Georgia Southern HC. An offense the rest of the big 12 doesn't practice against on a daily basis in order to gain an edge.

Phil Montgomery and Dino Babers are two I think should get a look.

We also cant be afraid of going after a guy who will use this job as a stepping stone. As long as he is successful, I don't care if we end up losing him.

Bring Les Miles back to the Big 12. ISU is much different then when he coached against us. (only semi :jimlad: gotta start big!) What is the worst that can happen, he says no?
