How about Northwestern vs Stanford?
Actually I was asking about the other two games. I know you are trying to be funny but you are missing my point. If Northwestern plays those two teams this year they more than likely have 4 losses right? Do you think they would still be ranked? On the other hand, if they did win one or both of the games...Michigan State and Ohio State would each have an extra loss and wouldn't be ranked where they are right now.
By the way...Do you honestly believe Northwestern would win that game if they played now?

Not trying to be funny at all. My point is nobody gives Northwestern credit for being a good team, despite their record and ranking, and solid wins (Stanford, Duke (at the time was ranked), and @wiscinsin).

Whether or not they would beat Stanford now us irrelevant. They did, and are now a top 15 team that Iowa crushed by 30 on the road.

In the future, moderators please delete any thread with "Hawks" in the title, unless immediately preceded by the words "F*** the".

Thank you.

I was wrong about this years Iowa team. They are a legit football team. I called them frauds all year, but they fought until the very end. I'll never root for them, but have respect for this years team they trotted out. Now here's to hoping they go 0-12 next year!

Duke is 7-5 in the ACC and I have no idea what being ranked at the time (even though you are wrong, they weren't) has to do with anything. If they were ranked at one point and are no longer it just means they hadn't been exposed yet. Wisconsin has beaten 0 teams not only with a winning record but even a 500 hundred record. On top of that they've only beaten 3 teams that are 5-7. Its hard to say they are any better than Toledo, Bowling Green, ect.

I'll give you Stanford as a solid win, but it was the first game of the season. Anything can happen the first game of the season when you don't schedule a cupcake.

My wife is a hawk fan, but I refuse to cheer for them, but I did not cheer against them. Totally expected MSU to win that game comfortably. Iowa played as a team and I respect them, but glad they lost. Great season. Extremely tough to go 12-0 in regular season, no matter how tough the competition is

Hey split, you guys can have Bode as a fan. We'll give him up to you guys. He comes with lavish yachts, hundreds of thousands of dollars on donations and he is excellent at hobnobbing with all of the coaching staffs. In fact, he even helps them draw up plays. Bonus Big Ten points with his connections to Wisconsin.

He's all yours. We gift him to you for your excellent season.

They finally played a decent team, and lost. Not only did they lose, they lost to a one arm QB (Richardson would have given him a run for his money last night), a freshman running back and a kicker who was 50%.

I know a bunch of Iowa fans, and I never experience any of this. It sounds like a you problem.

They had a great year. It shouldn't be that hard for ISU fans to acknowledge it and move on without the whining.

I actually enjoy watching the 'boring' teams that line up and play physical football and can win in multiple ways, so watching a team like Iowa is fine.

Throughout life though I experienced similar things to what posters here have mentioned: Iowa fans telling me I can't wear ISU clothing, grabbing and basically bullying because of someone being a fan of a different team. For that I had a sense of relief that Iowa fans could be quiet for a bit.

My brother got refused service at an Iowa City bar in 2002 for cheering when ISU scored. I realize maybe being at the 'local' establishment may have been his mistake, but that's still pretty schotty for a place.

I've had plenty of good conversations with Iowa fans that are just fine, and there are plenty of ISU fans that are overboard and unrealistic as well, but there does seem to be a personality association.

I'm going to call out over doing it on homerism when I see it. You sir, smell like a fake fan.

I mentioned pages ago what a P.O.S. Ferentz is because of his kid's subsidized housing fiasco and it's interesting seeing some Iowa fans chime in on this thread but no one could respond to it.
I would have been furious if Rhoads' kids would have pulled a slap in the face of taxpayers stunt like that.
