Really? A team that right now many people on this board don't think should be ranked in the top 15? Who exactly will be the ones that make next year's team a borderline ranked team?

I've never really given u a hard time on here at all...but your posts are just beyond idiocy. there prob isn't a player we've had in past 10 years who loves playing for isu more so than Naz Long. It is an absolute ridiculous to even mention this. The kid has to feel completely devastated as he's been with this program and some players for 3-4 years and his senior year and maybe last shot is possibly over.

or sdw. if i could bring one player back it would be mcgee. man that 2013 team was fun to watch down the stretch. this most likely costs us a chance at big 12 reg and big 12 tourney but no guarantees we win with naz. i am still hopeful we can make a nat champ run. just hoping we can pick up a 6 seed or better in south or midwest which is chicago or louisville. if we can get one of those and get to sweet 16 niang has potential to take over a game. i think giving ashton 2-3 minutes a half from here on out seems smart but prohm like hoiberg does not go to his bench a ton.

Way up there
Fred lost 4 or 5 guards the last few years, if they were here then we might not have Nader or McKay, I'd take either of those over SDW, Custer or Okoro any day.

Only 4 options for Naz next year: 1) he graduates and loses interest in basketball - NOT, 2) his hips do not heal and he is medically incapable of playing - hope NOT, 3) he comes back after his medical redshirt and brings leadership, scoring and defense to the 2016-17 team - hope YES, or 4) he decides to return to Canada to play hockey - NOT. There is no way he plays for another college team - period. Anyone who has met the man knows this to be true.

depth will hurt us in the grind of the big 12 but not so much ncaa imo. ncaa run is everything; we just need to stay in top 3 of league and hopefully pick up a good seed in the south. ku probably has midwest locked down again. not sure if we would pick up a seed on the other side of the bracket from ku in the midwest it seems doubtful. its gonna be a wild ride for the next 3 months; the niang fairwell tour. really hope we start seeing fat niang from 2013-14 make a resurgence. if that happens and burton starts becoming a major slashing threat and thomas starts dropping threes we can win the whole thing. lets see how smart prohm really is. gut feeling is elite 8; heart says we take the whole thing.

let me summarize; niang needs become a gym teacher again and throwin his weight around in the paint and we go to final 4. niang body need to touch other bodies; move the bodies and do his thing and he scores which opens everything up. i hate to say fat niang needs to come back but it is the elephant in the room isnt it? and frankly i like what im seeing so far.

First of all, feel terrible for Naz and the team. Timing of this has to be just devastating for them. Kills me to see a senior go down like this in what could be a special year.

Second, JSB should be in a mental health facility. JFC. What a crazy person. Please go away.

Third, other than some C-List "journalist" on ESPN mentioning a transfer, why in the **** does anyone on this boars think Naz would transfer to a different school next year? I've seen a lot of dumb **** on this message board, but this takes the cake.

My heart aches for Naz and the other seniors on this team. I find it very hard to see how we can survive in the Big 12 will only a seven man rotation. Ultimately I think this is a 21-10 team and probably a 6-7 seed. This will be the most difficult challenge that this group has faced in the last three years. People are underestimating the chemistry issues without Naz.

Lots of sighs of relief in Stillwater!

I'll bet all 15 people in the arena tonight are worried about handling Longwood first. Close game right now. And have literally never seen a P5 conference arena do empty. Puts this news in perspective.

No way that Naz allows his last game in Hilton be an 0 - 7 performance from deep. He will come back and we will all be singing O'Canada for a second time.

7 guys and we're a 6-7 seed but with 8 guys we're a 1-2 seed? Depth is the most overrated thing in college basketball. We have very little room for error now but I definitely feel comfortable with our 7 all season long
