Give this group of individuals a chance to take their foot off the gas and they will take it EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Coppin ******* State just dropped 84 on us, grabbed 15 offensive boards, and outscored us 59-56 the last 25 minutes of the game.

11-1 is great..but things are about to get a hell of a lot tougher, and I'd love to see this team show some sort of sign of a killer instinct.

Yes...this, UNI and Iowa were just couple players who were just shooting lights out and couldn't miss. You guard to close they drive and you either foul or they drive by you.

This is the 3pt % teams have shot against us. I'd say u want to at least hold teams under 40%. There is only 3 games over 40% and those 2 games UNI and Coppin were just hitting ridiculous shots.

And in instances like tonight they should. With our lack of depth this team should definitely not wear themselves out against Coppin State with the game in hand and Oklahoma on the road coming up.

Yeah ISU must be the most unlucky team in the country given how practically all of their opponents go off from 3! Sorry if I'm not buying it. Just like last year, the team has major issues maintaining focus. I hope that playing a team like OU will force them to play with a little more intensity. If not, OU is going to shoot just as well as Coppin but actually play defense too. I know that they are probably trying to keep fouls to a minimum but IMO they've gone too far.

Some of you guys are never happy. If ISU went out and played a shutout, you'd say it reckless to risk our players like that and that they should have taken it easy.

Carter has to be one of the quickest players to dunk that I have ever seen!

He seemed to be REALLY slow on defense, though. Watching him on defense didn't give me much faith that he'll see non-garbage minutes this season. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'd love to be wrong, since his size would be a hell of a luxury.

If we were a tremendous 3pt defending team and a couple teams didn't hit career nights vs us we'd be sitting at 12-0 and prob top 2 in country. How bad can that be? I'd love to see those threes not going in as well but some times there just isn't anything else u can do. UNI we weren't adjusting well to the pick and roll and Washpun killed Monte penetrating..tonight it was just lets throw up a 3 every other possession and pray it goes in and it did. What do U do? Still won by 20. Yea Coppin scored 84 but they shoot normally and they score 65 or so and we win by 40. We are a damn good Inside scoring and inside defensive team and teams realize this and so their plan is to just chuck threes and pray.

I don't think he'd be coming in to guard guys on the perimeter like where he was when he got burned a couple of times tonight though. I don't think he's ready to play in the Big 12 yet however.

I can't speak for others, but nothing upsets me more than poor effort..I've been a fan a long time and supported a lot of good teams, and a lot of bad teams...the thing that upsets me more than anything is when a team doesn't play hard, whether they're good, or whether they suck.

So what are you saying? Do you have a line to the players where they tell you what % of effort they are giving on any given night? People can't differentiate between playing bad and not giving effort with this team.

It'd be interesting to see what their team 3 pt shooting percentages are for the year in games not played against ISU. There have been games this year where guys were going off despite what looked like good defense at the three point line. This was not one of those games.
