Carter and Ashton were the only non-regulars that played meaningful minutes, and both would be regulars at Coppin State. Coppin State isn't just bad, they are one of the very worst teams in America out of 351 D1 teams. Our regulars plus Carter and Ashton should ABSOLUTELY not give up 54 points in a half to a team like that.

Pomeroy ranked them 342 out of 351 teams. They came into tonight with 2 wins over DII schools, and have been curbstomped by every team with a pulse that they have played...those teams also played their benches.

Dude. Give it a rest. We throttled them early and then coasted but the game was never in question. Ever. We won by 20 points and put up over 100. They weren't going to waste a bunch of needed energy going into Big 12 play just so they can beat a ****** team by 50 instead of 20. If you don't think our starters were toying with them look at Montes behind the back lob. There's nothing wrong with taking it easy going into a game in Norman.

Your crying is making you look stupid. Stick to your 48 hour rule. Please and thanks.

Yes, that's the point. When other teams play Coppin St with their bench, they'll do better than when Iowa State plays Coppin St with its bench. I'm just glad that we were able to still outscore Coppin St in a half where Carter, Ashton and Cooke playing 10 or more minutes each.

Once we had the game under control, our priority in the second half was never to maximize our points and minimize the opponent's points.

If Prohm wanted to, we could've won by 50. Its really not hard to realize that.

It was actually a 24 hour rule but I get the message.

I love Iowa State athletics and I want the same thing as all of you guys...I could pry go about expressing it in better fashion...it just frustrates me that this group played down to the level of their competition so often and got burned last year, I would hope they'd learn their lesson and develop more of a 'step on their throat' killer instinct attitude than they have.

I have no doubt we'll have a good rest of the season...I just don't want to see our shot at a conference title or deep run in the tourney go by the wayside because we refuse to wake up from supposive 'wake-up calls'.

Eastern Kentucky, Fordam, and Norfolk State do not have players like Cooke or Burton coming off the bench for them.

Right now I'm an XL, but hoping to get back down to a large after the holidays.

Since when do you get to swing and miss this many times without being out?

You think those schools have players like Burton and Cooke that come off the bench for them? How in the world is that wrong?

I can see why we would struggle on defense playing 2 vs 5.

We played fine. jsb is embarrassed by this meltdown.

My point was that our bench is every bit as good, if not better than the schools I mentioned..you disagree?

I'm trying to keep it more civilized now for you guys...

With that logic, I'm surprised that you haven't brought up common opponents yet. Like Iowa. Iowa beat Coppin by 35 points. ISU beat Coppin by 20 points. Can draw some pretty conclusive inferences from that, I guess.

Did you not say that those teams had better benches than us?

It's not wrong, but the context you are using it in is I flawed. We go 7 deep, while others go much deeper. We went away from the norm tonight while they stuck with their normal rotation. We have a huge game coming up and had it on auto pilot in the second half. Yet we still won by 20, scored over 100, and still outscored them in the second half.

Your meltdown is an epic fail.
