Earl was Earl. Would love to see him come out pushing the action and just dominate but apparently that's not his mo.
Boston fought hard against a tough opponent considering how far up he's wrestling at 41. Definitely not mad at him after that match.
Briceno came out like a lightning bolt but was a little too amped and got caught. Would much rather see somebody get caught like that than lose because they're content not doing anything. Hopefully Blayne can find a balance between being aggressive but not being careless at the same time.
Nardo needs to wrestle all the time like he did the last minute of this one. I know the guy he was up against is no slouch but he would have won if he didn't wait until the last minute to go after him. I don't think there are a lot of guys who can defend him consistently if he pushes hard from the get go.
Tanner did Tanner things.
Lelund was awesome and got me back on the Spoon train. Hadn't given up on him by any means but haven't been very high on him lately. Loved seeing him wrestle with some attitude and hope he keeps that same mentality going forward.
My Dane man crush continues to grow.
Marcus will be a beast when he's actually in wrestling shape. He better have been really gassed at least because that was hard to watch. Gotta give him credit for holding on late when he looked half dead though.
Quean looked good. Probably the best I've seen him yet.
Definitely a tale of two halves in this one. At intermission, I was feeling the same way I did at the end of the K State football game and I don't need to tell you how terrible that feeling is. By the end I was back to feeling pretty optimistic and now I'm just really confused. I worry that a lot of the major problems (little to no riding ability, getting owned on bottom, gassing out/no aggression at the end of matches) will never change until somebody new takes over but I still see enough potential that I'm not sure a change should be made. Don't want to start a KJ debate just sharing where I'm at right now.
