Many of the other Big 12 schools always seem to have that one guy that is impossible to tackle because he is so fast and he has so many unbelievable moves. Now Iowa State has one of those guys. This is huge.

I know I said this in another thread, but Deshaunte played for a great high school program in Cincinnati. When you watch his highlight video, he is making elite football players for some of the biggest and best football schools in Ohio look silly.

Played QB for two years, but more known as a rusher. Hence why he's labeled as an athlete and will play slot.

Heh heh - Deshaunte Jones likes to play in the slot.

Campbell just continues to prove doubters and haters wrong. I was fully behind Campbell the moment he was hired and I knew we were going to get better, but even I didn't think he'd pull recruits this quickly.

Welcome to Cyclone Nation, ecstatic to have you here! CMC has a domino effect going on right now, and I have a feeling he still has a couple more big ones to knock down. You can just FEEL the momentum and excitement he has brought in such a short time here. This is freaking AWESOME!!!

And so many people said it's impossible to recruit decently at ISU. I think Campbell has proven he can pull in some good talent. Just imagine what this guy can do with a full season to recruit.
CMC and staff are educating us, giving us a different perspective about what's possible. Hope, that's what he's given to us. And belief that yeah, ISU can win, can be great.

Anybody want to start a petition to have ISU changed Ohiowa State University? I'm sure it wouldn't cause much confusion!

Iowa State University, Idaho City, Ohio.... I actually owned one of those T-shirts with the Campanile image in the background a long time ago.

OH-IO, OH-IO. This proves Ohio is more important than Texas!!!!!! Welcome Deshaunte.
And that Big 10 and Ohio kids are willing to travel west into Big 12 country. This kinda surprises me, didn't know it was possible. Whadya think, tolfbfan, are you at least a little surprised that high school kids are coming this way?

I think they'll find more ways to use him than just slot receiver. If he's as fast as advertised, we could see him on special teams & perhaps in the backfield (like in a wildcat formation for instance).
Maybe kinda like Trevor Ryen? Can't wait to see how our coaches use Trevor this coming season. Speed!

The staff did a great job of recruiting Ohio when at Toledo. Built allot of strong relationships with schools. Ohio players believe they can play power conference football. They like high energy staffs who make them feel wanted. They like to hear a plan for success. I would be shocked if they don't get 2-3 ohio kids every year if they want them. Finally, don't be worried if in the future Toledo offers ISU offer kids. They do have the same recruiting criteria.

Campbell uses his slot receiver in punt and kic off return quite often.
