One more loss this week does for sure.

ehhh...Kentucky is below us and lost to a team that tcu beat tonight. Teams lose. It sucks. They've got to play better.

Fans who are ****** off need to go to bed.

If we look bad on Saturday and lose to OSU, I wouldn't be surprised to see us drop to 23rd or so, but doubtful that we drop out this week.

Hold that thought and get back to us Saturday PM after our road game at OSU. Win, streak probably continues, lose and the streak is at risk. Tonight is what is called a "bad loss".

We lost to WVU not NWWVU St.

Voters will probably account for this being a home loss. Losing at OSU Saturday would probably drop us to 21-23 or so.

Regarding dropping from top 25 -- Unless all 12 teams below ISU win multiple games vs ranked opponents this week, even if ISU goes 0-2, ranking streak is secure at least another week. Probably even if all teams below go 2-0.

I make no predictive claims for polls that follow.

No, it wouldn't. No one is dropping 13 spots for losing two in a row in the Big XII. That being said, let's not try to test it.

Three out of the next four on the road with the fourth game being at home versus a surging Texas team.

You worry about your team. We'll worry about ours. If I were you, I'd be concerned that I had to go to OT to beat Kentucky considering their great performance last night. Or hell, that I blew a lead against the team that lost to West Virginia at home.

But yes, if we lose the next 4, we will not be ranked.

It's a bad loss in the race for the Big 12 title but not in the national polls. 80% of the AP voters wont even know that West Virginia was missing one of their best players. They'll just see the ranking of West Virginia and say "tough to win in the Big 12".

A performance in one game isn't indicative of a performance in the next as most teams in the nation have shown in the last two weeks. "Great one game, bad the next" seems to be the theme of the season. EVERYONE around ISU in the polls is dropping games left and right. This won't hurt them in the polls much at all.

ISU has more losses than anyone around them in the polls, sits at 5-4 in their conference and have lost 2 conference games at home. If they win on Saturday they should feel very fortunate if they are still ranked come Monday.

I predict dropping out of Top 25 if we lose Saturday. That would be three losses in a row and sub .500 wins since conference started....5-6.

To drop out of the Top 25, teams below them have to pass them. Baylor just lost at home to unranked Texas. Miami just lost by a zillion at NIT bound NC State. Purdue plays @Maryland Saturday so I doubt they roll into Monday's rankings with a nice smell to them. Kentucky just choked a 21 point lead and lost by 7 to a Tennessee team with a 10-11 record. Arizona just ended a two game losing streak. South Carolina just got smoked by a terrible Georgia team. People forget how bad the bottom of the Top 25 is. ISU isn't dropping out of the Top 25 any time soon.

Still not enough. Maybe down into the 20s but not out.
