They've passed him the ball plenty. He has trouble handling post feeds, he struggles to hold on to the ball in traffic, and he really has limited post moves that he can put on the bigger, stronger players who are usually guarding him. He needed to spend last summer working on his post game instead of developing his 3-pt shot.
He actually has moves if he can cleanly catch the ball. His tendonitis may be causing half the problem.

Fran said, “If I were head coach, I would suspend McKay for a second game.â€￾ That was in response to Jameel’s comment contradicting the indefinite suspension statement issued by the university. Seems as if Jameel’s mouth continues to write checks his play can’t cash. When a player’s antics and actions are egregious enough to be are called out multiple times by national media, you can bet their stock value is taking a tumble!

Fran McCaffrey? If he said that he's out of line and needs to figure out how to beat us instead of giving us coaching advice.

The one thing I can't understand is snapping something about "done with everything about Ames, Iowa"

You realize a large majority of ISU people follow your snaps, right? There is zero logic behind holding a giant middle finger to the town you still currently live in.

But...he has knee tendinitis, so it's understandable...

The guy has had an absolutely terrible attitude all year long...now when given a chance to take ownership and responsibility for his actions, his comments are 'live life with no regrets', and 'It's 1 game. I'm not sure why they are calling it an indefinite suspension. That seems a bit harsh'...clearly a guy that realizes he made a mistake, and is remorseful, huh?

It's crazy how many people jump to defend a guy that's had a terrible attitude all season long. There are so many people that would kill to have his talent and athleticism, but Jameel is perfectly content focusing on everything he's not getting, and lashing out at anyone that tries to hold him accountable...poor Jameel.

I realize we need 'good Jameel' in order to max out our team's potential...but if his attitude doesn't change, I won't be sad at all to see him go.

Clearly Jameel has some growing up to do, and he should be thankful he is dealing with Steve Prohm. Can you imagine how deep on Huggins bench he would be? Tim Floyd or Larry Eustachy would eat this kid for breakfast.

I guess I don't know why this particular snap is so insulting to everyone. How many times, in frustration, have you said you hate Iowa because of the weather or some of the people or whatever? I'm going to guess all of us have said something like that. And if you are an age where you do twitter or Facebook or snapchat, you might say that on social media. Jameel is allowed to have a bad day.

He has to be smart enough to realize he's in the spotlight, and sending out 'tired of literally everything that has to do with Ames, IA', after a win over Kansas is stupid.

Sure he is allowed to say whatever he wants. However, promoting yourself is also part of being a professional athlete. I always felt our previous coach (don't want to incite anyone with the name:wink:) always had the guys media savvy for interviews and avoiding anything stupid on social media. This snapchat wasn't exactly a positive for his image with his current fan base. So if he has a hard time filtering stuff like that out, he should just lay off social media. He said he was going to do that once and it lasted about a day.

I've never, ever said that I hate Iowa. As someone that travels quite a bit and sees a lot of the U.S. there is hardly any place I'd trade it for.

Not to mention right after the team you play for beats Kansas, and saying you're tired of 'literally everything that has to do with it'.

Yeah this was what bothered me. I don't care that he was tired of Ames. I'm sure many people get tired of Ames. Including star athletes. But to go say something like that right when everybody was celebrating a big win was very concerning. Not to mention his interview talking about he how has to start thinking about himself.

Yea, he has gone quite the opposite from the sports cliche interviews when guys say they just care about getting the win. Getting a win over KU seemed to not even register with him.
