One and done. Prohm won't give in will he? This team is ******* gassed. Won't get any better unless Prohm decides to actually utilize his bench. They have the ability. Kind of sad really.

Based on what exactly?

Prohm inherited a no win situation.

We just aren't a very good team now...

You forgot the jimlad... Or you are just a pessimist. You aren't going to beat this team if they are allowed to play like this and they call all the crap they did on us.

We're an OK team, definitely no NOT very good. Just not GREAT to be able to beat all 8 people on the floor.

If put in the bench, we could have a game full of our guys with career highs. Like 1, or 2 points on top of the bad defense and the fouls they would commit.

Coach of the year stuff there skippy!

Actually, athletic scholarship athletes can step up, .....if you give them a chance. But yeah, just run the ******* wheels off your starters. Right?

We had our best rotation during the Texas game and won. Have yet to go back to it despite success. These guys can't play the last 12 minutes of the game straight. Completely ********

Not impressed with the Coaching this year. Yes, the bench is short, but they've had all year to come up with something, and to coach Cooke/Ashton/Carter up.

I'd like to see better poise from the players, but WVU is a tough environment.

Lol wut? Come up with what? Magical players to add to the roster that didn't exist in Sept? Fred F'd us, deal with it.

refs are clouding the real problem with this team, ISU can't get enough stops against teams.

I think it's the other way around. ISU is playing passively because they are getting called for everything when they try and play hard defense. Even when they play soft defense they get called for every little touch. They aren't as physical down low because they can't afford to risk the fouls getting called against them. We force a lot of missed shots, but we either lost the rebounds while playing zone, get shoved out by more aggressive players, or get a goul called against us.

So Cooke just in against the WVU subs and he looked... Hmmmmm......And not a shot at Cooke - just not B12 ready yet.

Man, all we need to do is score 105 and we would win more games. I think we should focus on offensive efficiency.

Couple observations-
1. Our defense has gotten ridiculously bad. Teams know we only "contest" shots so they are free to stand open at the 3 point line and not worry about any defenders being in their face. We are giving up tons of open 3's teams don't have to work for because we have to help so much and can't pressure at all. Wasn't Prohm supposed to clean some of this stuff up?
2. Watching our effort on the defensive glass in the first half was frustrating. We may have been trying to conserve some energy but some of those were really bad.
3. Niang needs at least 5 more touches per game in the post. Nothing bad ever comes from this. Where is the Hoiberg play where he slices across the lane after a ball reversal and we get it to him easily?
4. It's just disappointing to watch this knowing what could have been if Fred would have either made up his mind sooner or stayed around. Naz not getting hurt is another what if and that seems to be the story of the last 5 years for us. What if Babb doesn't get hurt, what if Niang doesn't get hurt, and now what if Naz doesn't get hurt?
