Ashton scholarship is all ready counted in the mix. If lard don't make it we will be very small next year.

It's also very possible that Monte isn't here.

I really think Ashton won't be on scholarship next year. That's 1 and it is going to go to a post player. Either Dembele or a grad transfer.

There is always the question about Monte too. And any attrition.

Or both after Ashton comes off scholarship and Lard heads to a juco or Carter or Ernst leaves.

If MM leaves, then maybe we get another guard. One thing is certain, we have room.

I really think the staff is banking on getting a grad transfer so the fact they're going after Dembele like it appears they are might mean some attrition will happen. Who knows

Monte, Malou, Lard, and (to a lesser extent) Naz are all question marks for next year. Lard is probably not going to be here. Monte is 50/50. Malou is pretty likely going to be here, and Naz is essentially a lock.

All it takes is one or two of those guys to leave and suddenly we're looking to replace a rotation player.

Wasn't the NCAA going to close the door on grad transfers? I thought they passed something last summer about that
What could they realistically do to end grad transfers, and why would they want to? It's a great thing for college sports.

I do wonder if Cooke returns. The guy gets 0 minutes and plays behind a walk on. With Thomas and Naz coming back while adding Jackson, hard to see him get on the court then either. He is probably thinking that over pretty carefully while riding pine. I know he said he wouldn't leave but not sure how you don't consider it.

Since when does the NCAA care about anything?

But, yes, they have talked about ending the grad transfer rule.

If he stays he at least has the chance to play, leave before he graduates and he'll waste another year. BC of that, I don't think he leaves until after next year but who knows, if he isn't going to play anyway, that's not much different than having to sit out a transfer year. I think its in his best interest to leave but his situation makes it a bit more blurry.
