What's the parking situation in Lawrence?

I hate paying for parking, so I always look for free spots. When I went a few years ago there was free street parking less than a mile away (10-15 minute walk), which imo is better than paying $10-$20. Also makes for an easy get out if you avoid the main roads until you get near the edge of town.

edit: forgot to note, I got there about an hour early, which works out well since you'll want time to walk around the museum area.

you just scored 58 at home against OSU....and ISU doesn't win on the road. unless Niang scores 60 ISU isn't winning

ISU beats KU most of the time lately. It's the rest of the conference that bends over for you.

Get back to telling me about how sophisticated and cultured Lawrence is compared to the rest of the midwest, those frequent stories give me endless joy laughing at Jhawk yokels.

you must at least be a tiny bit concerned to come over here and post.

We match up well against Kansas. We have a shot to win. No lose game for us.

I like the fact that there isn't much for us to lose in this game. No one is expecting us to win in Lawrence. But that seems to be when our team pulls off the unexpected. If we don't, no big deal, we just lose @ the #1 team's house like we were expected to.

While I'd love to win @ KU and win the Big 12 Championship again, I'd much rather have a deep NCAA Tournament run this year.

I don't buy that KU has nothing to play for. Self will be preaching to them all week that after the double digit beatdown in Ames earlier this season they have unfinished business. Has everyone forgotten how mad Self was sitting on the bench at the end of that game?

They will be ready to play.

This is the definition of a "nothing to lose game" for Iowa St. So just go do it. Iowa St shot like **** tonight, ku shot the lights out, let's hope that flip flops Saturday.

Kansas must be destroyed.

Let's not forget that Georges' first Big 12 start was at Allen Field House. Now his last will be the same. Let's hope he has something very special in store for his last Big 12 start.

5 out of the last 7 have been won by?

I'l hang up and listen.

were any of those in Lawrence? KU could lose on Saturday but it being senior night and with KU playing their best ball since being 5-3 in conference and will be going for their 10th straight win..ISU has maybe 1% chance to win. ISU is just not a good road team. any good team they've played on the road they lost to, except Cincinnati.

doesn't look like Lawrence.

I didn't look hard enough to find a pic of Tinsley in AFH. You know, the Iowa St guy that owns Lawrence, and said the above quote when asked about playing in Phog's ****** dungeon.

lol i guess Scott Drew can say the same about Ames. this was supposed to be the year ISU contended for the big 12 and are about to finish in the bottom half. it'll probably be a close game Saturday, it always is when ISU/KU play.

Ehhh, that was when we were naive enough to think a first year coach wouldn't have speed bumps. Oh and that whole losing a starting senior leader thing.

I was thinking last night that Niang has probably won everywhere in the Big 12 except Oklahoma and Kansas. Might be wrong about OU though.....just seems they always split w/ home team winning.

With ISU's run lately vs KU, that would be a nice cherry on top for GN.

At least ISU swept OSU this year. It'd be pretty embarrassing to get blown out by a team like the Pokes

ISU got 21 wins in what's been a strange year overall. I was thinking 23-26 was attainable, which it was.

It's going to be real tough, and it would take an outstanding game from the bench in some way to have a chance, but a win at Lawrence to cap off the regular season would somewhat make up for those 3-4 losses that were *this* close.

Not just because it's Kansas...it's the #1 team with a really long home winning streak, etc.
