I am not sure why we would need to add Cinci and UCONN BEFORE adding ACC schools? I would say skip Cinci and UCONN and go straight to the four ACC schools to match the conference numbers of the Big 10 and SEC.

I think even with the decline of viewership, you still need the infrastructure to produce content. You still need a studio in order to stream live sports.
I'd make a joke about UCONN being an easier win in football that we desperately need on the schedule, except this happened:

Yeah...it makes absolutely no sense to add more teams in a state with 27 million people and the 3rd fastest growing population in the country...especially when looking for a lucrative TV deal...
There are Mormons living outside of the state of Utah that love themselves some Cougar football. Similar to Catholics & Notre Dame.
And that was in UCONN's first full year as a Division 1-A school. They'd been provisional for two seasons prior to that and 1-AA (like UNI) through 1999.
Will this mean we only have part of our games televised again? I guess the bright side is we can have some 1:00 game times for football again.
That sounds like a great market! The Big 12 should be sure to have a school there. Actually, definitely two schools there. You know what? It sounds so great that we should have three schools there. F*** it! Let's go crazy and have four schools there! Surely that has to be good enough?
Having quality members for a strong conference is more important than trying to find programs our football team can occasionally beat.
Actually, I was pretty clear that their are a number of sources....none of them individually especially reliable. Dodd, Shaggybevo, Mhver, TheDude, various sources from the WVU Scout board. Lately, many of them seem to be getting a lot of the same information....coupled with bits we get from Dodd, Big 12 leadership, and a variety of tidbits from other sporting sites...and yes, I believe it starts to add up to....something about to happen.
Feel free to knock the sourcing, its...as I said...weak and widely varied, but it does cumulatively seem to imply some real fire under the smoke at this time. Add in Boren's urgency and commentary and I think anyone believing NOTHING is going to happen this summer is just plain wrong.
There are already quality members. Every other conference has more beatable teams.

So you still aren't using any form of attribution other than to add a scattershot of wildly unreliable sources and claiming that their individual inaccuracies combine to form some sort of actual accuracy?

Sure, something could happen this summer. But every single one of those "sources" just throw as much against the wall as possible in the hopes some of it sticks. They are worthless as "sources".
And Boren clearly was told to shut the hell up at the Big XII meetings last month. There's no more "smoke" than there has been for the past four seasons.
They all do the same thing you do. One of them posts X rumor, another one sees it and says "I heard X," another sees that and says "I'm hearing X from two people," on and on it goes. It's an echo chamber from these nameless attention-starved goons who have been right less often than a broken clock.
